Part 8
He wiped his tears and got up. His eyes told an unspoken story of sadness. His face was set with determination but when looked closely, one can see there was an imperturbable misery etched in every line of his face. He knew that he had to go on with life this way.. he knew that he didn't have an escapade. He was certain he would never get Anvesha. And for him that was the end of the world. He had to follow his heart and not think about what he lost… not think about the girl with the mot amusing and melodramatic way to "Hey Bhaggu".
Slowly he composed himself and walked away…
At twenty-six Anvesha Banerjee Ray still looked as pretty as she was in Maurya. And today she looked even more attractive in a striped pantsuit. She did look the rightful Assistant Production Manager. And today was her first day at work.
Despite all that, she couldn't throw off her feeling of complete insecurity. She wished those arms would be around her to encourage and protect her from every fear she had. All her life, she had one profile etched in her background. A fun loving boy, with long-ish hair and a carefree attitude. But today she knew he was a cosmetic surgeon, Paris's most renowned one. She couldn't imagine him being serious, being attentive or having a continuous concentration. And now she had seen Pierre. What was so great about him? The moment she saw him it was as if her favorite and most romantic dream coming true. Everything was good about him.. everything was exciting around him..he was perfect..
Except one slight slip. He was not Yuvraj Dev. He could never be Yuvi. In fact, she realized it for the first time as she said it, no one could even impersonate Yuvraj Dev.
Sighing she climbed the stairs, and went into the building which was to be her workplace. She knew that at first she had an interview with one of the Board Members. She gave her name to the receptionist..
"Yes, Ms. Banerjee" was the prompt answer of the receptionist, "Dr. Dev is ready for your interview."
