PART 10
Inside the shed, Ranveer groped around and managed to hold on to a wooden pillar. He stood absolutely still. He was now sure that someone or something was inside the shed with him. 'Probably a dog seeking shelter from the cold', he said to himself.
The wind had suddenly died down and Ranveer closed his eyes and sank to the floor. His whole self was feeling weak as he was unconsciously fighting to ignore this deep seated feeling in his heart. But now it started to surface and this resurgence of unknown emotions made tears trickle down his cheeks. Ranveer had in the past always controlled the tears, but now, here, sitting all by himself…… he let go! He gave in to his heart and he cried….silently.
His mind had drifted to a distant place. He had been there so many times in his dreams that he actually was comforted by the familiar vision. It was as if Ranveer was having a dj vu…..that never seemed to end. But this time he let the images come to him. He didn't fight them!
It was as if he was drifting through another place while his outer self was still in the shed. He saw it all….. the alleys, the small tea shop by the corner, next to a florist, the wooden houses, the cobble stone path and then…..as if running, the scenery moved faster, whizzing past odd little houses, small lodges, a tiny market, a wooded patch and then……. he reached the lake shore.
The pristine waters looked like infinite mirrors reflecting the mountains and their snow capped peaks. The soft ripples made a rustling sound as they washed onto the white gravel shoreline.
Ranveer looked up…….. and there she was!
Standing like an angel, facing her back to him, her flowing robe & hair swaying to the wind.
Ranveer was dumbstruck by the vision of this lovely being. He couldn't see her face but he already knew that she was beautiful…….and then she turned and what Ranveer saw would shatter his heart!
