I am so shocked right now. Many people from sanaya's previous show forum are saying this who used to drool over transparent sarees of a supporting character and wanted sanaya to dress up like her 😛.Even I have seen ye right actress wearing transparent sarees and almost in every romantic show lead actress is shown wearing backless with hair tied in a plait or kept aside for its exposure😛.Don't know they are bashed like this or not .🥱
Paro's back is totally covered with her long hair and that dupatta manages to cover the front part of her abdomen I think that's much better than those.I think everyone watch reality shows with their whole family and I don't need to tell that how much skin exposure is common there.

What Sanaya or Paro wears is her decision and the decision of the makers
IMO, Finally she has got a wardrobe worthy of her good looks.

Nope. Feminism is wear whatever you want unless it makes YOU uncomfortable. Others really do not have anything to do with it.

Also, can we now permanently have a costume bashing thread? This is irritating and boring.

Sanaya looks amazing and she will continue to look like that. Stop it now.

Lol not that i am leaning either way...I admit the look is irritating (not embarrassing or uncomfy) Like wanting to pull up low riding pants...😆

But my question is whats the beef with people expressing their opinion and their dislike and their discomfort...you could argue your counter point but why relegate it to "bashing" and why ask them to stop it ...don't you think that is personal freedom (er one of the hallmarks of feminism?)

I understand the TM's point. However, I personally don't have a problem with her attire. She pulls it off in a classy way and the makers know this. Besides, Bollywood movies, even older ones, have shown much worse, which a great portion of the Indian population has grown up watching on TV. Therefore, Paro's "non-covered up" look shouldn't generate so much wonder or controversy. Then again, I live outside India and so I don't get bothered by things like this.

Have to agree with you here. I myself think that she (Paro) is dressed provocatively and ordinarily people do not walk around like that. But then it is not against sanaya personally. Like someone said the other two girls are dressed nicely. Why can't they make Paro dress like that. I am sure she still will be extremely good looking and way apart in her class compared to all the other girls...It just does not look right. It is the costume designer's/make-up man's fault- not sanaya's.
The second point is we cannot express here anything without people jumping on you saying we are regressive. If you want the girl to be dressed properly or in a widow's attire, It does not mean we want Paro to be submissive or to suffer. Its the depiction of a village girl in the story. You would expect certain things from a village girl. People can express their opinions about it without having to worry about looking like we are some kind of old fashioned ladies imposing strict rules on womanhood...

If it's making you uncomfortable then you are definitely regressive.
Seeing heroines in transparent or backless sarees, romancing the hero, consummation screnes, all that is fine but a bit of midriff is making you unconfortable??

I wonder why no one has issue with skin show in mytho shows .There also female actors wear black-less blouse ,does not cover their chest and hip and not only female male actors also bare-body all the time .Some don't have issue in watching that show with family.

Coming to the character .When a male character is shirtless some girls drool over that .That time they do not think about the character sketch of male character. All rule apply to female characters .

All female lead those wear saree they also wear blouse which expose their back .I think some will be only happy if they see the lead heroines in burqa and fully covered.

A dress does not define a person . If a girl wear modern dress then she is modern thinking girl and if a girl wear salwar or saree she is old thinking .What kind of stupid cliched thinking .

I have seen Rajasthani women wear dress like paro and I have seen it personally. Because the place were I reside near by there is a place were Rajasthani community people live I have seen some women wearing short blouse and some women wearing long blouse .

In some village in Tamil Nadu women dont wear blouse and I have some old ladies still following the tradition also in coastal area of Kerala I have seen women wearing dhoti and blouse and in my neighborhood there was a grandma who followed the same tradition.

Regarding the shirt tearing part . I asked one of my female frnd who watches the show and asked her opinion . This what she said If she is in salwar also n when a guy stares at her she tends to adjust her clothes . This is what happened with Paro . Rudra noticed the teared part and looked at it so obviously Paro will feel shy . She will not tear fully and will ask Rudra to stare at it .Being a guy if a I can think in this way I fail to understand why some girls does not think in the way.

I would say Sanaya has the perfect figure to carry this look and also the dress .She is looking so stunningly hot . Sometimes my have dinner at 9:30 so she should sit with me I watched RR when she was sitting near me I did not find it awkward while seeing Paro in that look and neither my mom.My mom did not find Paro look odd .

I am so fed-up of replying to all dress related posts still many people have the same old school thought .That girls/women need to cover and boys/men can wear dress the way they like .I have seen the comments female and male celeb gets when they post a pic .If a male celeb post a shirtless pic there will be no offending comments but if a female celeb post slightly hot pic .They will be tagged as attention seekers and doing it for publicity.

Don't know when will society will change and stop judging women and forcing her to follow stupid rules .

Bang On... 👏 U just said everything i wanted to say..

it is uncomfortable to watch with family?
But isnt it also uncomfortable watching almost kiss and consummation scenes in other TV shows with family? Almost all consummation scenes I have scene usually expose the belly of the FL.
So why single out her costumes in this show?

you have yeh jawaani hai deewani's dp...did you feel uncomfortable looking at deepika padukone in those lehengas...the cholis of which were wayy more revealing than what sanaya/paro wears...or may i accuse you of double standards too 😳

Sorry it doesn't even deserve to be called a choli please 😆
