I first over analyzed Sanaya's comment in SBB .But As A Die-Hard Sanaya fan I know what kind of person she is . she is very Up-Right,Head Strong , Straightforward N most importantly she is a grown-up women .If at all she is not comfortable she will sort with PH.
I wonder why no one has issue with skin show in mytho shows .There also female actors wear black-less blouse ,does not cover their chest and hip and not only female male actors also bare-body all the time .Some don't have issue in watching that show with family.
Coming to the character .When a male character is shirtless some girls drool over that .That time they do not think about the character sketch of male character. All rule apply to female characters .
All female lead those wear saree they also wear blouse which expose their back .I think some will be only happy if they see the lead heroines in burqa and fully covered.
A dress does not define a person . If a girl wear modern dress then she is modern thinking girl and if a girl wear salwar or saree she is old thinking .What kind of stupid cliched thinking .
I have seen Rajasthani women wear dress like paro and I have seen it personally. Because the place were I reside near by there is a place were Rajasthani community people live I have seen some women wearing short blouse and some women wearing long blouse .
In some village in Tamil Nadu women dont wear blouse and I have some old ladies still following the tradition also in coastal area of Kerala I have seen women wearing dhoti and blouse and in my neighborhood there was a grandma who followed the same tradition.
Regarding the shirt tearing part . I asked one of my female frnd who watches the show and asked her opinion . This what she said If she is in salwar also n when a guy stares at her she tends to adjust her clothes . This is what happened with Paro . Rudra noticed the teared part and looked at it so obviously Paro will feel shy . She will not tear fully and will ask Rudra to stare at it .Being a guy if a I can think in this way I fail to understand why some girls does not think in the way.
I would say Sanaya has the perfect figure to carry this look and also the dress .She is looking so stunningly hot . Sometimes my have dinner at 9:30 so she should sit with me I watched RR when she was sitting near me I did not find it awkward while seeing Paro in that look and neither my mom.My mom did not find Paro look odd .
I am so fed-up of replying to all dress related posts still many people have the same old school thought .That girls/women need to cover and boys/men can wear dress the way they like .I have seen the comments female and male celeb gets when they post a pic .If a male celeb post a shirtless pic there will be no offending comments but if a female celeb post slightly hot pic .They will be tagged as attention seekers and doing it for publicity.
Don't know when will society will change and stop judging women and forcing her to follow stupid rules .

I don't particularly have a problem with these types of clothes (actually I've got used to seeing them) but yes, it does look odd when Paro wears such kinds of clothes esp since it looks out of place when compared to the other characters and the set-up.
I'm really tired of this topic being brought up again and again ... like really? Seeing a woman in a short choli and ghaghra makes you uncomfortable to watch it on TV with family?
I hate to say this, but a woman wearing a burkha makes me much more angry ... when it is forced. However, I don't go around expressing that opinion to all and sundry, because it is a matter of personal choice and social dictates in that society. Seeing the barely clad background dancers in a Hindo movie annoys me, not because the women are exposed, but because I feel the Indian costumes are far more graceful and attractive ... and sexier ... like Sanaya's lehnga is.Asking a girl to cover up because of what 'people will say' and 'how people feel' should be the last reason for dressing the way one does. It often is, but that does not make it right ... and if educated girls on a forum like this don't argue with those expectations, I don't know where they will.Clothes should be comfortable for the wearer, that is it. Comfort including her physical comfort and her own like or dislike both.If we spent all our time trying to dress according to other people's tastes and dictates, it would be a sorry world ... for many women it already is, without extending the censure to the clothes of a fictional character, for pete's sake.
Sorry TM, disagree with you. We've had this discussion in the forum countless times, Rajasthani women really don't cover much of their chest. They usually just cover the head or keep the dupatta on their shoulder. They occasionally wear short choli's too. And this much midriff is exposed when people sarees too. So I really don't see what is the big deal or how people can feel uncomfortable watching it with families. She isn't showing an awful lot of skin and she doesn't look vulgar at all. I don't understand what is it with people saying they feel uncomfortable watching it with families. Is she the first actress to expose her midriff? What about all the other shows and BW films, which most of the forum members have grown up watching?
Now coming to Sanaya's statement, she just said she's less covered these days. She didn't say anything about liking or disliking it. So please don't try to interpret in any other way. As a matter of fact, she mentioned loving her look on the show during other interviews.
If Sanaya really had a problem, she would have spoken to the makers of show and not say it in interviews. Please don't assume she hinted anything else so that some fans could rescue her. She's not a kid and she can handle herself.
Personally, I love her look in the show. But perhaps it would have looked a bit more natural, if the dupatta was a bit crumpled...I mean it looks perfectly ironed and everything. That's the only small issue I have, but then it's a show and people really don't wear crumpled clothes in shows.
Whether people like her look or not , is a matter of personal choice. But I do feel people are blowing it out of proportion.
