The same logic like Gurmi playing Vishnu & Ram, Debina playing Lakshmi & Sita, so the same actress plays Uma & Sati. [/Quote]
The same logic should not apply for Parvati n Sati.
All the teleserials so far have shown different actresses Sati n Parvati .... why not here 😕

Yep, there is a difference between being an avatar of Vishnu/Lakshmi, vs. simply being re-born as par for the course

Today's epi was Ok.. the story of Shiv-Sati ended abruptly becoz , Virabhadra isn't shown at all I would have been nice if they'd shown Shivji using a bow to destroy ,Daksha yajna and then Sitaji mentioning that the very same bow was given to king Janaka ,which Ramji lifts at Sitaji's swayamvar 😊; also the mentioned in the story that after demi-gods pray to Shivji to calm down , he does calm down but in dialogues its mentioned that he was 'prasanna' , (hence he is called 'Ashutosh' )which means elated or happy which is unlike ; Shivji calms down doesn't necessarily mean he was happy 😳

It seems the serial wants to give K-L 'larger than life' image😕 with them taking off to Kuber lok Alkapuri.

I thought that Shiva's wife that they've been showing all these months was Parvati. Today she becomes Sati? What gives i.e. why do they show the same actress playing Sati & Parvati? They should have brought in my Dhanya instead😆 - she was a great Shiva bhakt, remember?

Also, one thing inaccurate that they showed - Shiva did not forbid her from going, nor did he predict that something untoward was going to happen. He just declined to go himself because Daksha had gone out of his way to not invite him. But he sent Sati with Nandi and the ganas to accompany her.

I'm glad they showed this. One more clip to upload in my channel, and also, give me a segway into other mytho films once this Ramayan is over.

Exit question: Did Nandi have any relationship with Surabhi or Nandini?

🤣🤣🤣 Chandra, I did not make myself scare because of ur questions! 🤣🤣🤣 U say the funniest things for sure. 😆😆😆 K, Parvati's other name is Sati. After Sati immolates herself in the yagna, she is reborn as the daughter of Himavan and comes to be known as Parvati.

Actually, he does not send Sati. He expressly forbids her from going to her father Daksha's yagna. She goes anyway and faces humiliation at her father's place. In anger she decides to put a stop to the yagna by doing something abshagun and immolates herself in the yagna fire. I think the Sagars r trying to appease the modern day feminists by showing a kinder, gentler version of Shiva. 😆

Chen, There is no story of Luv-Kush going to Kuber lok in Ananda Ramayan but there is the story of Luv going to Ramji's garden and getting some special flowers for some special pooja at the ashram. I will check and let u know by Sunday. There r hundreds of versions of the Ramayan in so many languages (including Sanskrit, all Indian languages, Indonesian, Malaysian, and even Japanese 😕). I am feeling right now with all the versions swimming in my head.

🤣

Sorry for being scarce these days guy. I am veryyyy busy.
My opinion on the recent epis...
Pros:
1. Sita telling Luv Kush about how Shiva forgives many mistakes, and telling them about Ram breaking the bow of Shiva. Such a cute scene.😊
2. Valmiki's practical way of solving the situation when Luv Kush brought the Shiva Linga. He knew Luv Kush did wrong unknowingly, so he did not punish them but told that that he would take care of it.
Cons:
1. Luv Kush going to all these places and fighting all these monsters. It does not make sense and takes the focus from the story.
2. Lavanasur and Shatrughan's fight still not being shown.
3. Showing Ram less and less; I don't like that. I want scenes in Ayodhya too.

Okay, then, the question in question is whether Vikat appears in the Ananda Ramayan, or any of the other Ramayans in your collection?

Whether Parvati's another name is Sati or not would be tangential to the question of whether Sati & Parvati are identical insofaras they ought to be represented by the same actress, like Lakshmi & Sita. While it's one thing to have divine incarnations represented by the same actor, in the case of more normal re-births, they would be different. If there was a serial being made on Jaya & Vijaya, would you be okay with the same actor representing Hiranyaksha, Ravan and Shishupala?

From what I recall, Shiva did not forbid her: if he had, she, being Sati, wouldn't have gone. On the contrary, he sent Nandi and other ganas with her.

Also, she does not immolate herself in the sacrificial fire itself, as shown (this was another deviation from the original). What she did was invoke a yogic fire that immolates her on the spot. Remember that after Daksha was revived with a goat head, he was allowed to go ahead and complete the yagna. That would have been impossible had Sati gone into that fire itself.

Like Ananya, I too am disappointed that they didn't show Virbhadra and Mahakali being invoked to destroy Daksha's yagna. Also another point - and I know this would dismay the Vishnu bhakts here - Sati was furious at Brahma and Vishnu for attending the yagna where Shiva wasn't invited. Later, when Virbhadra was out to avenge Sati's death, Daksha appealed to his guests, including the devas and Vishnu to protect him. Not only were Indra and the devas roundedly trouced, even Vishnu, of all gods, was trounced in this battle. Once Virbhadra had defeated Vishnu, then he managed to get to Daksha, decapitate him and toss his head into the sacrificial fire.

Although, given how Vishnu-centric this serial is, I couldn't have imagined them showing it. And in that context, Sita narrating to them this story is somewhat unbelievable as well.

Okay, that sounds about as wierd: sending Luv, who too was exiled, back to Ayodhya to take from there something that at that point in time, didn't belong to him.

Too bad no such stories exist about the other cousins. Maybe we should write some🤣🤣🤣
