After a successful television career spanning over two decades, Juhi Parmar is all set to make a meaningful return to the small screen—not through fiction, but through stories rooted in reality. The actress, best known for her iconic roles in shows like Kumkum – Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan, is stepping into a powerful new role as the host of Kahani Har Ghar Ki, a show that gives voice to real women grappling with real social issues.
Unlike typical drama serials, Kahani Har Ghar Ki is a reality-based show that invites women from across the country to share their personal battles—ranging from domestic abuse and mental health to issues of financial dependence, social conditioning, and gender inequality. Juhi doesn’t just host these stories; she listens, understands, and offers a space for healing and awareness.
In an exclusive chat with India Forums ahead of the show’s launch, Juhi opened up about how Kahani Har Ghar Ki has deepened her understanding of the societal issues women continue to face, even today.
When asked if women's rights are still a subject of debate, she reflected, before answering herself: “Yes, of course, because the women who are coming on the show are not from another generation. They are, in fact, young girls who are still facing the issues. And if they are facing those issues, then they are definitely happening around. We get to see it everywhere around us, get to hear everywhere around us. It’s just a particular sector and sect of women who are educated, who are financially independent, that are probably able to deal with things differently—but not all.”

But it's not just about experiences for me. It is about my inclination towards understanding human psychology, human mind and wanting to help people.”
