Vibs, I am planning to do that at 60-65. 😃 Once I retire (have to wait a long time for that day), I plan on reading all the literature I can lay my hands on. I am learning Tamil and Sanskrit in my spare time. I know Hindi. So, I can read and listen to discourses in these 3 Indian languages and English, of course. Until then, forums like our Ramayan forum is my only outlet. This forum is so good. I am learning a lot from everyone.

Mandodari......people young at heart can never retire, can they😉.? So may be a difficult task for you😆😉

If we go through yuga cycle and believe in what our scripture say we will get our answer. According to the Vedic system. The lengths of "time" in the Satya, Treta, Dvapura and Kali yugas are 4, 3, 2, and 1. the human life span decreases from 100,000 years in the Satya-yuga , to 10,000 years in the Treta-yuga , 1,000 years in the Dwapura-yuga , and finally 100 years in the Kali-yuga . Rama lived in the Treta Yuga.
This also explains Ravan fighting with Anaranya, and Mandhat who were 29th and 25th generation before lord Ram

Thanks Rajnish. I never thought of this. 😛

In that era, each month was considered from one amavasya to another which was typically around 29.53 days. Which means 11000 days would make 372.5 months or amavasya periods, and this would make 31.04 years bringing us the conclusion that Shri Ram ruled for 31 years after Sita entered the earth.

Thank you. I never knew of this before.
Thanks for the infomation. 😃

Yes Deepa, true!! actually what I did was that I divided 11000 by 360 days as, its 360 according to hindu calendars it roughly comes to 30.55 that means 30 yrs 6 months, approximately your calculation is also holds good.

Deserve it from everyone who loves physics dearly. I made a mistake in the most fundamental fact of Theory of Relativity and I'm quoting it here. If my teachers, mentors and tutors see this, they's skin me alive.
