I strongly object to what they showed in the precap - it never happened. In the original Valmiki, Rama described to LBS what people were saying about Sita, and told them his decision. Had Rama requested any of them, in that situation, to accept the throne from him, I find it inconceivable that they'd have refused. Accepting the throne in this case, unlike 16 years ago, would this time have genuinely been a sacrifice, since L/B/S - whoever accepted it - would have set himself up for public odium, but spared Rama & Sita the pain of separation. In other words, even Lakshman - who declined the yuvraj - would have accepted the throne because he knew more than anyone else the excruciating pain that separation from Sita would have caused Rama.

In fact, among the critics of Rama's decision, one school of opinion suggested that he should have stepped down and retired with Sita, instead of exiling her, and hand over the throne to L/B/S. Not a bad suggestion, but the reason I think that would have been a non starter was that just as the Avadis were not happy with Sita as queen, it's questionable whether they'd have been happy with L/B/S on the throne, even if the latter had been willing to accept it for the sake of Rama. If Rama's idea was to make them happy, it would have been somewhat self defeating for him to have stepped down in this case, since such an act would more than have offset any happiness they'd have felt at Sita's exit. That's probably what Rama knew, and why he didn't offer the kingdom to his bros in the first place, unlike what the Sagars are going to show tomorrow.

While I'm glad they're showing all the bahus pregnant, a twist to that - how would Shrutakirti travel when she has to be crowned Maharani of Mathura? She'd have to be between 3 & 6 months, and hopefully, the roads were smooth. I'd have thought it more likely that she conceived after she became queen of Mathura. That way, Subahu would have been born in the kingdom he'd be destined to inherit.

Loved the episode today............there was so much going on.......so many emotions......and finally husbands with their wives, instead of always being in a crowd........

precap-----------champa tells all the info to sitaji ,sitaji was shell shocked to hear all tht from champa tht ayodhya waasi tauntimg RAMJI & sitaji finally closes her ears with her hands & asks champa to stop it !!!!

Today's episode - aside from the other things that we've discussed that didn't happen, in the Valmiki version, including the part Mandodari posted in the Uttarkand DOTW thread, there was no mention of Rama visiting Vaisishtha and asking him his advice. This decision seems to have been taken on Rama's own.
