Just saw the Ramayan promo for the next week.

It starts with the last scene of Ram killing Ravan. In the next scene, Sita Devi (in vanvaas attire with a bundle in her hand) climbs down the steps of the palace and a chariot with Lakshman in the place of a charioteer is shown too and Ram standing on the steps devasted looking at Sita leave. Flashes of Sage Valmiki speaking and Sita Devi in the forrest and turning back as she went into the forest were shown. The last scene was Ram shouting out Sita's name.

I think the voice in the background said Valmiki's Ramayan is in progress but the events in Ayodhya will be taking a turn for the worse. Sorry, I still didn't catch the words properly.

If I watch it again, I'll provide any details I have missed.

I think Sita Devi's banishment will start soon . . . 😭 Or at least its premonitions will be shown this week.

A fabulous episode....Ram-Hanuman scene was very nice and emotional.

But, today's Karkati episode raises a doubt in me. I think as per Shivpuran, Karkati escapes from Lanka after the war right?

But here it is shown that she is unaware of the war proceedings. Also where was she all these days then? It would have made sense for her to be either in Lanka or in Sahyadri hills, given the fact that she is pregnant. But she mentions that she and KK had a Gandharva vivaah in the Sahyadri hills, then why did she not come home? After all, her family would not have refused the proposal.

And also, when does KKchacha come to Sahyadri with his naanaa Sumali? They showed KK chacha waking up once before the war and then he is waken up only during the war. Did he walk in his sleep?😉😃

Something tells me that the Sagars never think through the consistency of their stories. Hence one would see the contrasts like described above.

Chen2chic is correct - if the original story had Karkati's father support Ravan only on condition that Kumbhakarna marry his daughter, then why is he shown here as surprised? Also, how is Karkati coming home pregnant w/o knowing that her husband is dead? Also, nothing about her relationship w/ big V?

Hmm, that remains a mystery... But then Sagars story may not be consistent with other sources, but as Chandra said, they should be consistent atleast in their own sequences...

Also, now I wonder if anyone in Lanka knows that KKchacha has such a wife and a son?
