This followed their recent official separation. They were granted a divorce by the Bandra family court in Mumbai, concluding their marriage a little over three years after their wedding.

Trouble in Hansika’s marriage

Speculation about difficulties in their marriage had been present since the previous year. These rumors gained traction when she removed numerous photos and videos of Sohael from her Instagram. At that time, she opted not to publicly respond to the rumors.

According to India Today, Hansika initiated the divorce proceedings, seeking a mutual consent divorce and reportedly decided not to request alimony as part of the separation agreement. During the court proceedings, Hansika was represented by advocate Adnan Shaikh, who indicated that the couple had lived together for a short period after their marriage. However, they later acknowledged that their personalities, perspectives, and lifestyles were considerably different, which eventually resulted in frequent disagreements between them.

The plea stated that Hansika and Sohael frequently argued over minor issues, making it challenging for them to continue living together. Eventually, they decided to end their marriage. The report also noted that their parents, relatives, and friends made several attempts to reconcile them, encouraging them to stay together.
