Aren't when boys grow up leave for hostel or job and set up don't they need to wash and cook and what's the whole pretentious drama of dowry (in the name of shagun, neg or beti ki khushi) in every Indian family and I understand money is spent in marriages but how much you are gonna expend should not be dictated..

As for working home I is perfectly fine to me as long as someone doesn't rub it in my face that being a girl you should learn to do something for future Sausral. Is Sasural Tihar Jail I will do everything to please other but not for my happiness thats as good as faking right?? And no one of us are serial sisters ... with over dramatic notions of Pati is parmeshwar and tumhara sab kuch now are we??

Exactly!

I have to leave my parents, siblings everyone and live with strangers, take their name. I have to pay for it too.
And on top of everything, my life is constantly shadowed by the fact that I am preparing for it, my family needs to treat them like Gods. Why?

Exactly.. And on top of it, he did not make Draupadi as abla nari..Though there was vastraharan, he pointed out her flaws too.. She was not perfect bahu of present bahu on TV, she was cunning , selfish too

Word..In fact, she was very ruthless to Karna on more than one occasion😆 She was no abla nari and thats the best part about Mahabharata..Every single character is flawed..My absolute favorite is Karna though..Eternally misunderstood and always taken advantage of..

But why does its the downfall of women which is the subconscious plot... what's that say about the psychology of the writer or the norms of society in general.. the women are submissive creatures made to serve holier than thou men ... Its was as true 5000 years ago as its now.. women is regarded is still as an object by many... and thats where pessimism on the whole alpha race starts taking root

A feisty woman who wasn't scared of expressing her desires and throwing tantrums. But she always was dignified and elegant.
A balance.

Downfall of women?

Ganga: Asked her husband to stay out of her life and left him the minute he interfered.
Satyavati :: She got what she wanted.
Amba: Took revenge from the man who wronged her.
Gandhari: A brave woman
Kunti: Un-wed mother.
Hidimbi: Pursued her man and got him
Draupadi: She is brave, kind, elegant, feisty. A flawed yet relevant character. She is the combination of all the above and many unmentioned. Imagine, she handled all five Pandavas, braved the jungles along with them.

It is just a depiction of society. You are welcome to interpret as you see fit. It highlights the plus and minus. You can learn a lot from it.

I blame padavs more than kauravs for what happened to draupadi and well pandavs did pay they lost tehir children so justice was served...the great thing is very damn thing had a consequence in MB...every bad deed was punished..karma was fair to all

Trust me, Gul intends to show Gaffur and Rashid as positive characters👏😆

gul tries to show rashid n gaffur as +ve ...but i just simplh cant understand ...hw can dey b innocent ...
rashid cheated on dilshad way bfr dat gudiya factory happened den hw cums d ques of majboori ...
n gaffur he left his luv wid his doter in ny ...den got married in india ...n den helped in killing zainab ...making his doter living a lyf of an orphan ...n such a hypocrite he is ...
