No no the Pandavas did go to heaven..Initially, an illusion was created where Yudhishtir was made to believe that all his siblings went to hell..This is because of the only lie he said during his entire lifetime about the death of Aswathama..So he had to suffer for that short period of time..Once he paid for his mistake, it was revealed that it was all an illusion and all his brothers were in heaven..

Thats how Krishna eventually convinced him😆 The truth is that they totally wanted Dronacharya to misinterpret his words..Its like you know your statements is gonna be misconstrued still you go ahead and make it..He said 'Ashwathama atha kunjara' but before Drona could hear the elephant part, Krishna blew his conch which made Drona assume that his son died..

Actually both Pandavas and Kauravas went to heaven..When the illusion was created, Yudhistra was given a choice between hell and heaven..He chose hell cos all his siblings were supposedly there..It was only later that its revealed all of them were in heaven😆
