Embrace it, yes but the girl doesn't need to dress provocatively etc etc. So when everyone is seeing movies like TDP and calling it bold, the automatic association is with what has been shown more than what is being said. But then again if the girl is like the one in Tanu weds Manu, it again gives of a wrong impression.

That really makes me doubt "TRP audience" many times.. No offense to anyone but do TRP ppl really like only such regressive dramas? 😕.. There were so good shows back in 90's and it looks like Indian TV is going backward..Strange..

Basically, the thinking has not changed. A few posh costumes, a little English and some bhashan on changing times and embracing new trends have been added to the same old stuff.

Lets reach the Draupadi chapter and then you will see the hypocrisy and bigotry of the patriarchal nature of society 😳

Mahabharat is one story that never loses relevance. Vyas has managed to touch all the points. Every story addresses the good and bad in the society.

Ah that i agree but the point is its totally the girl's prerogative..Its the society which needs to stop being this judgmental..What i meant to point out was more to do with the character than the clothes they wear..You can be fully covered yet not be submissive and stand up for yourself..On the other hand, you can wear jeans and still be a doormat😆 I don care about what clothes these people wear..I just hope they stop with these regressive storylines😆

It resonates with every girl and woman from all walks of life. Even if our parents are liberal, they are forced to go with the flow to avoid unnecessary comments from neighbours and relatives.
I understand that I need to follow certain rules when I am with everyone but restrictions, discrimination is just😡

I don't mind following as far as the family boy does that too can't something happen to boys too?? So why not deadline reservation for them too?? Aren't when boys grow up leave for hostel or job and set up an appartment don't they need to wash and cook and what's the whole pretentious drama of dowry (in the name of shagun, neg or beti ki khushi) in every Indian family and I understand money is spent in marriages but how much you are gonna expend should not be dictated..

As for working home Its is perfectly fine to me as long as someone doesn't rub it in my face that being a girl you should learn to do something for future Sausral. Is Sasural Tihar Jail I will do everything to please other but not for my happiness thats as good as faking right?? And no one of us are serial sisters ... with over dramatic notions of Pati is parmeshwar and tumhara sab kuch now are we??
