I know this is in reply to the TM but I really liked what you stated so I am quoting😆I agree, both the characters are flawed and human, both have made mistakes. Asad's seem more prominent because he has been judgmental and also because he is believing a person whom we as viewers loath. But if you see it from a larger perspective Asad and Zoya are clean hearted, good people and none deserve the pain they are going through. Yes Asad has made mistakes, and the mistake is not the lack of trust in Zoya (because IMO he trusts her, but didn't trust her judgments ) but because he didn't understand her real self for a lot of time. He had begun doing that when this incident happened, and in a way its teaching him a lot about her and making him value her all the more now. But back to the point that both Asad and Zoya do not deserve this pain because they've done nothing to harm anyone else or the other, they just have different ideas in life and different ways of seeing situations, but inside both are the same, going through the same insecurities, fears and so on. Which connects their souls.Asad loves Zoya but has now begun to value her, respect her, and stand by her choices and though its still a long way to go before he catches up, and also sometime before she entirely understands Asad. Yesterday was the first step in proving the difference in which he'd deal with Zoya.
Thanks and yes I agree. It's more a lack of trust in her judgment vs lack of trust in her as a person. Zoya has not always made the best judgments and it is natural to assume that she may be showing same haste in it. As a viewer it irritates me because tanveer is a horrible character who does not deserve the benefit of the doubt.
Asad is a hypocrite in his dealings with both women but this is still to high a cost for blind belief. And the hypocrisy has come across because of inconsistent character development of tanveer. As viewers we have not been shown a reason for Asads faith in tanveer which is making the story fall flat. It's much easier to sympathize with Asad's trust situation if we had a back story.
Zoya on the other is quite the disrespectful guest. While I wouldn't change my personality there are definitely certain things I wouldn't do if I was a guest, starting with I would try and not be disrespectful to the house owners. We as viewers manage to overlook this because phuphi was so understating and welcoming but it is a character flaw for zoya as is her knack of button in were she really shouldn't interfere.
