I agree, both the characters are flawed and human, both have made mistakes. Asad's seem more prominent because he has been judgmental and also because he is believing a person whom we as viewers loath.
But if you see it from a larger perspective Asad and Zoya are clean hearted, good people and none deserve the pain they are going through. Yes Asad has made mistakes, and the mistake is not the lack of trust in Zoya (because IMO he trusts her, but didn't trust her judgments ) but because he didn't understand her real self for a lot of time. He had begun doing that when this incident happened, and in a way its teaching him a lot about her and making him value her all the more now. But back to the point that both Asad and Zoya do not deserve this pain because they've done nothing to harm anyone else or the other, they just have different ideas in life and different ways of seeing situations, but inside both are the same, going through the same insecurities, fears and so on. Which connects their souls.

Asad loves Zoya but has now begun to value her, respect her, and stand by her choices and though its still a long way to go before he catches up, and also sometime before she entirely understands Asad. Yesterday was the first step in proving the difference in which he'd deal with Zoya.

Thanks and yes I agree. It's more a lack of trust in her judgment vs lack of trust in her as a person. Zoya has not always made the best judgments and it is natural to assume that she may be showing same haste in it. As a viewer it irritates me because tanveer is a horrible character who does not deserve the benefit of the doubt.

Asad is a hypocrite in his dealings with both women but this is still to high a cost for blind belief. And the hypocrisy has come across because of inconsistent character development of tanveer. As viewers we have not been shown a reason for Asads faith in tanveer which is making the story fall flat. It's much easier to sympathize with Asad's trust situation if we had a back story.

Zoya on the other is quite the disrespectful guest. While I wouldn't change my personality there are definitely certain things I wouldn't do if I was a guest, starting with I would try and not be disrespectful to the house owners. We as viewers manage to overlook this because phuphi was so understating and welcoming but it is a character flaw for zoya as is her knack of button in were she really shouldn't interfere.

He is guilty and that is why he is self absorbed. ..u believe it or not 99 out of 100 would do what he did. In an ideal world he would have waited till eternity...but it takes a lot of courage to look past ur guilt and do what is right...as much as I like asad with all his flaws, courage is one thing he lacks a lot...an outcome of not having a father figure to look upto...he is a scared and insecure person at heart...and their relationship has a very long way to go...maafi maangne ke liye bahut brave hona padta hai...to face the mess u have made is not an easy thing to do...and Asad is not a courageous person...he will eventually become though...but right now do not expect him to go out of his way at all...

Asad's character sketch has always said he is a judgmental MCP and that was accepted but I agree that his belief on someone when we see no reason for him to trust her so much is a little hard to digest at times. Few justifications are that he's shared a childhood with her, and anything related to his memory regarding his childhood's happy memories are special to him, secondly the main reason is obviously the fact that he always has taken the outer appearance for more value, which as a trait has changed in him. Surely the thing is we haven't seen so much friendship or bonding which surely exists and existed but its a bit faulty on part of the makers to not have emphasized a bit more on it before revealing Tanveer's negativity.

Asad had his own ways and in his own house they were all justified, when Zoya came along though she was always right in her intentions her ways turned a lot of things upside down, and this as a viewer may just provide comic relief but as a character for Asad this kept making him believe that though she is an amazing human, she thinks and decides in a haste.

I am obviously not justifying Asad's those actions which were wrong, and which hurt Zoya when she was not at fault BUT In this situation, none are at fault if we see from a larger POV. And their reactions as off now are totally justified keeping in mind not only their characters but also the situation.

Right now I cannot sympathize with Asad because as a character he has to earn it .

Hun trust comes with time. He's learning to trust her and Asad has trust issues since his childhood. If we are not gunna try to understand his character and what he's going through and what he's been through, I don't think you will understand his love for Zoya or why he does whatever he does. So, I don't think you are going to see him in positive light whatsoever. As a viewer, I'm very much satisfied with Asad's love for Zoya.

had asad begged zoya for forgiveness, it would only seem a selfish act to me as it'll only give him inner peace but would torture zoya more!

zoya would be reminded that horrible scene of tannu and asad a 10000 times whenever she sees asad, so how does asad meeting zoya and asking for forgiveness benefit zoya, i cant see that!!

when asad, silently went away, it showed he doesnt want to pain zoya more by showing his face to her as its very obvious no girl would even want to see the guy at this moment who has cheated on her on their wedding day.

As a viewer I am furious that both these characters are going through this. Asad needs redemption and zoya needed maturity but this was way too harsh a punishment for both.

Barring the slap which i 100% do not agree with both Asad and zoya have pulled their fair share of shit, Asad's came across as worse because of his blind faith and sudden loss of grey matter.

Do I think asya are soulmates? - no I don't believe there is such a thing. Asad and zoya are different on the surface but fundamentally they are exactly the same which makes the dynamic interesting.

Edit:

I notice you said that Asad didn't wait by his car for her...he did and zoya saw him too. Asad's self-loathing ad zoyas self-preservation are the only reasons why these two didn't meet.

I don't believe in soul mates either😉...ofcourse Zoya has many flaws...she is not an angel but did she deserve to get a reality check in such a drastic form ...I don't think so. A reality check...? For been messy...or for standing up to what she believes in or to not been a perfect guest ? Did she deserve to see her fiance cheating on her on her marriage day? No.

As fpr Asad ...he had to pay for every abuse he bestowed upon her but not by been sexually assaulted ...but to really redeem himself he needs to see his Billo's true face...

He did not. He was waiting outside in the car and even if you see in the precap, he was wearing the same clothes. He was in his car outside the whole night!
