Even if Zoya is not wearing it because Asad does not like it, that's basically saying that there is a problem with the skirt. Why does Asad have a problem with a skirt that is supposed to be considered appropriate by those defending it? That' does not make sense. Asad has agreed to the jeans, so he will agree to the skirt. There IS a problem with the skirt if he cannot agree to it.

Bhopal is small place and very conservative. She must have brought it along so she can wear in metro. Within India there is difference and Zoya is not rebellious type of girl. She understand where it is not appropriate to show skin..

Can we leave the skirt issue, you are again stretching it like chewing gum like you did slap issue.

There was reason they did it and the scene was shot elegantly, didnt look cheap. Surbhi acted very normal and actually brilliant, people had their focus on her face than legs. They were trying just to deliver a message in it, and if thick headed Asad gets it why cant we, and move on..

I know skirt was probably short but we both know, some girls wears them around NY and no not all are cheap or should be marked off as ones. We cant be judgemental...

I have been to New York 5-6 years earlier and been to my Uncle's friend's house for dinner, my uncle's friend was a Muslim and his 20-22 year old daughter was wearing a mini skirt, of course i don't remember the exact length but it was short.

Why does this bother? You must learn to realize there are people who are not happy; you are dismissing how we feel and that is minimizng our feelings and not at all being considerate. Who said they focused just on her face? 😆 Yes it was, and THAT is a big issue for us and that it was one a person who typically would not be wearing one. Moreover, if this was what we saw in the character from the strat and was not thrown to us at left field, we might not have been so disappointed and displeased.

You see one person and that is what I am saying is not typical and unlikely and you cannot recollect the length and it is the lenght that is of concern - it was a mirco mini - not a mini. So short it needed a slit. She didn't even wear tights or leggings.

yes but there are people who wear such clothes. and you can not generalize that NOONE in NYC wears that short a skirt.
