Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone made a public appearance on Friday, drawing the usual attention as they arrived together at an event in Mumbai. The couple visited the Swadesh store to take part in a showcase celebrating Indian craft and the festive season. Their coordinated entry, complete with hand-holding and steady smiles, quickly became a talking point online.
The appearance came on the same day as the release of Ranveer’s new film Dhurandhar, which opened to strong numbers at the box office. Despite a busy day, the actor made time for the event, with Deepika by his side.
Ranveer wore a cream sherwani paired with white trousers for the occasion. Deepika chose a Patan Patola double ikat silk saree, a rich handwoven textile known for its detailed patterns. The two walked in together, posed for photographers, and interacted with guests before stepping inside.

Her caption focused on the artisans behind her saree. She wrote, “Handwoven navratan patan patola by artisan Bhawar Singh, reimagined through Anamika Khanna’s mulmul blooms and a handmade Banaras border — an ode to Swadesh, and a love letter to the artisans who hold our heritage in their hands.”
The post received quick attention from fans who appreciated the detailed reference to craft and technique. It also added to the interest surrounding the couple’s public outing on a major release day for Ranveer.
Deepika and Ranveer recently completed a family milestone as well. During Diwali, they revealed the face of their daughter, Dua Padukone Singh, for the first time. The couple welcomed Dua on 8 September 2024. They introduced her to the world with a message that read, “Dua: meaning a prayer. Because she is the answer to our prayers. Our hearts are filled with love and gratitude.”
Ranveer and Deepika married in 2018 and have since balanced work, parenthood and public appearances with ease. Their latest outing, timed with Dhurandhar’s release, gave their fans a moment they were quick to share and discuss online.
