I guess he was expecting to see his love in the saree! That's y he was mad and I guess disappointed too! He couldn't wait to see her in the saree! Especially wit the note he gave to her, making sure to let her kno he remembered everything about that night! And how he feels about her!

His disappointment was for many reasons.. first thing Zoya dint wear saree which he gave her so he was disappointed as a lover. Then those ladies were taunting Dilshad, so he was disappointed as son. Also Asad is traditional, he expects Zoya to wear traditional attire in such functions because before also in Quran Khwani he said Zoya that jeans is not proper attire to wear in such functions..And she does not know truth so he must be thinking that Zoya never listens and does not value these rituals..
