Chapter 5

Ayan and Humera are sitting on the huge rocks along the beach silently siping cocunet water.

"Are you sure that the both really like each other?"

"Yes i am more sure than my life. But the thing is they will cross 50 before they will tell each other about their feelings, maybe not even then."

"So what do we do?"

"We need to bring them closer, make them realise their feelings and finally convey the word of heart."

"But how?"

Asad in his office busy with some files. Humera enters.

"A.O.A Asad Bhai."

He looks up surprised.

"Humera you here? What a surprise?"

"Actually Asad Bhai i was here to see Ayaan but he is out of office so i thought of conveying my salam to you."

"Come come sit... waise ye gadha kaha gaya hai?"

"I don't know... lemme check."

She dials Ayan's number.

He picks up after two rings.

"Start."

Humera makes a shocked face.

"Ayaam ayaam what happened?"

"What?"

"When?"

"Is she alright?"

"OMG...where?"

Asad impatiently waits for her to tell him what happened. He cuts the call.

"Asad Bhai ... woh Zoya... she had an accident."

He couldn't believe his ears. He throws the file away standing.

"What? Where? Is she alright?"

"Ayaan said its a minor accident, near the clearing on highway."

Asad immediately gathered up his stuff and headed for the exit. Humera calls from behind.

Ayan to himself,

Your turn Mona.

He enters Zoya's cabin. She was leaning on some maps closely scrutinizing them.

"Ahm ahm."

Sje looks up and smiles.

"What's up Mona?"

"Nothing much Rabart...aap ke bhai jaan ke is project pe kaam chal raha hai."

"I see."

HE waited for Humera to call. There it was just a miss bell... indicating Asad was in.

He pretends the rest. Popping out his eyes as in shock.

"What?... ill be there in a while." He said worriedly.

Zoya asked, "Everything alright?"

"No, Bhai jaan ka accident ho gaya hai..."

"what? Kaha? Kaise hain wo?"

"I don't know mein abhi wahin jar aha hun..."

"I'll come with you."

Zoya and Ayan reach there a couple of minutes after Asad and Humera. It's almost twilight, the clouds were thundering and lightening. It would shower any minute.

Zoya to Ayan, "Where is he? I didn't even see his caar."

Oh fish ye tu socha hi nai...

"Maybe andheray mein nazar nai ai" He said stupidly. "But he is here somewhere... you look there i will search for him this way."

On the other hand Humera also presented lame answers to Asad's questions and left him alone to search for Zoya.

"I hope i am not being tricked by these two brothers." Zoya thought to herself.

The same minute her right fort hits a rock, she loses her balance and she lands on the ground. Her head hits a rock and blood rushes out. She cries loudly.

The same minute she hears Asad yelling her name.

"Zoyaaa"

She yells back.

"Mr. Khan."

This time he hears it and rushes in the direction the voice came from.

She tries getting up, rubbing away the dust from her clothes. She looked up and found Asad at a distance.

Her head still spinning does a 360 and she almost collapses when Asad runs towards her and holds her gently. Her arms around his neck his around her waist. Eye-lock.

The clouds thunder loudly and both come back to their senses. Asad straightens her, his hands still supporting her back. He examines the dent on her forehead, tenderly tracing his finger around the wound.

"How did this happen?"

She frowns and her hand makes its way to the wound and she exclaims,

"Ouch!"

"Careful." Asad said tensed.

"I don't... oh i just lost my balance and... "

She trails of remembering the reason she was here.

"Mr. Khan are you alright?"

He looks at her confused.

"Why? Of course i am... you tell accident kaise hua?"

"Accident? Woh tu app ka hua hai na...thats why..."

"Mera?...nai...mera koi accident nai hua infact Humera told me that you..."

He trails off...

"And Ayan told me that you had an accident... we have been joked Mr. Khan."

"Those kids...i am not ganna leave them." He said angrily.

Zoya starts laughing loud. "Oh God they scared the hell out of me."

He shakes his head.

"Come...your wound is bleeding...i'll bandage it."

She silently walks beside him.

Zoya leans on the cars bonnet while Asad grabs the first aid box and bandages her forehead.

"So you came here for me?... you were worried." He says eyeing her carefully.

Zoya's face flushes red. She looks here and there in nervousness.

"So were you."

"Yes i was."

She looks up at him astonished.

"Why Mr. Khan?"

"Ask yourself why miss Farooqi."

Both look into each others eyes intensely.

He continues,

"Remember that day you told me that there is a girl out there...

Whose pain will be your pain, whose happiness will be your happiness, whose smiles will be your smiles and her sorrows will be your sorrows.

Well thanks to you i found her."

Zoya's heart starts thumping loudly.

"I found the girl who melted the stone in my chest...it beats for her now,, she is like the oxygen in my air, the blood in my veins."

A shadow lingers on Zoya's face. It was becoming hard for her to sand firm anymore. Her heart was sinking...who was he talking about? She gathered all energy to ask,

"Who is the lucky girl?"

Her voice seemed to be coming out of a deep well.

Asad instead of answering her smiles sadly.

Ayan and Humera looked at them from a distance, hidden behind some trees.

"Humera is it working?" Ayan asked.

"I don't think so... you and your stupid plans... they look so serious. Mujhe tu lagta hai Asad bhai jaan unhe daant rahe hain..."

"Oh come on why would he do that?

So what if plan A flops... ive got a plan B."

"Really?"

"What didn't i tell you?" She asked Almost whispering.

"You didn't tell me that..."

"That?"

"That... that girl is..."

"the girl is...?"

"You."

Zoya was out of words, she stared at him blankly.

He waited for her reaction. She pushed him away with a sharp jerk.

Lol... What do you think Zoye is gonna do?
