Asad's apologies today were ridiculous. Not once did he look like he understood the gravity of his offences. There was only mild contrition in his expression. Thank you - redemption was a key issue on today's episode. The post analyzes how today's episode and how it failed. I too noticed the "I was afraid Ammi..." just gave it an excuse.
And the spitting scene was such a disaster that it mocked the whole series of events. The best scene was the one when she asked him to leave her room - it gave her so much dignity but it was all lost later.
I did not expect much either, but this was sorely disappointing.
