After having their lunch, the kids went to their room for a nap as they were all tired because of the flight. Aarti's back was bothering her,as she was up from early morning. So Bhawari told her to go and rest in her room, while she heats the heat pad to massage her back.
Yash wanted to take a bath before he could also relax for a while. But as usual he forgot to take his towel, so had to come out to get it. And that's when he saw her. He stood in one corner, sort of hid himself in such a place that no one can see him. He wanted to look at her, without being caught by her.
She was sitting with her eyes closed, head resting on the head board. From the outside she looked relaxed, but there was a small frown on her forehead, which didn't go unnoticed by him. He knew that she was in some deep thoughts and that she was still not happy with this whole trip idea.
So he vowed to himself, that before the end of this trip, he'll bring back the naughty mischievous smile back on her face, which he LOVED.
LOVED, there it was again. Which again confused him.
Aarti opened her eyes when her phone rang. It was Vidhi Bhabhi. Aarti put the phone on speaker as she her back was bothering her.
The moment she answered the phone, Vidhi started "How are you? How was your trip? How is Yash Bhaiya? How are the kids? And how is chotu baby? Hope he didn't trouble you in the flight".
Aarti laughed (which brought a small smile on Yash's face, who was still hiding and watching her). Aarti said "Slow down Bhabhi, you are running at an express speed. We all are fine and our trip was also excellent. We all are tired now. Kids went to their room to rest. Yashji has gone for his bath and I'm resting in my room"
Vidhi asked " How are you really feeling?. I'm mean going back to Mumbai must have brought back a lot of memories from your last trip, which was only few months back? I know how scared you were to go on this trip"
Aarti sighed "Yes Bhabhi I was sacred and I still am. There's this nagging feeling on the back of my mind that I can't shake off. I've got this this feeling that this time also something big will happen. Something that'll change my life forever"
Vidhi tried to convince her once again " Don't worry Aarti, nothing big will happen. It's only your fear. Ok lets change the topic, how's Mumbai and how's the Beach House?"
Aarti sat up straight " Oh yeah Bhabhi, I forgot to tell you about it, everything has changed here. The house looks totally different now from what I saw during my last visit here".
She didn't mention to Vidhi that there was not a single portrait of Arpita in the house, like last time. She admitted to herself that if there had been any portraits of Arpita, after the new renovation, she'd have felt a pang of jealousy this time.
Vidhi "Oh yeah I remember now, after the fire incident, when you were going through rough times, after coming back to Bhopal, Bauji had ordered the house to be renovated as before, when Yash Bhaiya had bought it all those years back and decorated it as per his likings and taste. It was before his marriage to Arpita"
Aarti took a look around "Bhabhi honestly speaking, I like this setting better than what I had seen few months back. It's more beautiful and serene. I'll have to admit that Yashji has a very impeccable taste in art and decor. If it was decorated by Yashji himself, as per his taste and likings, then why did he changed it?"
Vidhi sighed " It was because of Arpita. She didn't liked it at all so when they had gone to Mumbai she changed the decor as per her taste and liking. We all were ok with it, but I was bothered when she changed one particular place, that was Yash Bhaiya's most favorite. If possible he'd spend all his time there, when in Mumbai"
Aarti asked "What place is that Bhabhi?"
Vidhi replied " It's the terrace in your room. The terrace was built in such a way that half of it was covered, by a roof and half of it was open. Under the covered part, there was a huge sitting/ sleeping area, where Yash Bhaiya slept daily, when in Mumbai. He loved that place so much. Even I loved it. Once I and Pankaj had spent few weeks there. Its open and yet there is so much privacy. If you sleep there, you'll know how beautiful the view is from there. You can see moon rise from there and during summer nights there's a cool ocean breeze flowing that you can sleep peacefully throughout the night. In winter you can light a fire in the fire lit built in one corner, and spent the entire night there without feeling too cold. I swear Aarti it was the Most romantic place for any couple. Only for some reason Arpita didn't liked it and she removed everything from there. I hope that after the re renovation they've build the terrace like before"
Aarti's face lit up "Yes Bhabhi they've. And I've to admit it really is beautiful. Even I wonder why Arpita didn't liked it. I fell in love with the whole setting the moment I saw it. From tomorrow, I'll take my afternoon naps there only"
Vidhi teased her "Why only afternoon naps? You both can spend all your romantic nights also there"
Aarti blushed "Bhabhi"
Vidhi laughed "ok I was just teasing you, but seriously, why can't you go and nap there today only? You are about to take one, as you are tired"
Aarti moaned " Cause after the long flight my back is bothering me. I swear Bhabhi I'm missing the massages that you gave me daily with the hot water bag. But don't worry I've told Bhawari, she'll give it to me. And here she is (she saw Bhawari entering the room with the hot water bag). Ok Bhabhi I've to go now. I'll talk with you later". And she kept down the phone.
Bhawari went to Aarti and said "Bhabhi why don't you lie down, on your side and I'll put the hot water bag on your back and give you a massage?"
Aarti smiled and obeyed her. She lied on one side. Bhawari moved her hair to one side and placed the hot water bag on her back. Aarti felt relief and went to sleep.
Little did she knew that when Bhawari moved her hair and revealed her back, something stirred in Yash, who was still watching Aarti, from one corner of the room, unnoticed.
He stood there for few moments and discreetly left from there to take a shower in kids bathroom. And he had to take a cold shower.
When Bhawari had moved Aarti's hair without any hesitation, he had felt a pang of jealousy. He remembered the day when he was removing the chewing gum from her hair and during his birthday when he saw Aarti's bare back and was turned on. On both the incidents he felt this strong urge to touch her bare back. To move his fingers caressingly on her back and to feel her skin with his touch.
He was surprised by the thoughts he was having. What if Aartiji finds out that he was thinking this way about her? But somehow he was not bothered with Aarti finding out. The same way he was not at all bothered when Vidhi and Aarti were talking about Arpita and how she didn't liked his choice and changed everything.
If this had happened few months back, he'd have lost his temper by now. But not today. Today he wasn't affected at all. Why? What was happening to him?
And he took a long cold shower.
It was almost dusk, when Aarti woke up from her much needed nap. She looked everywhere for Yash and kids but they were no where in sight. She was about to ask Bhawari about them when she spotted them going in the far corner of their garden.
She wondered what they all were up to, as they all were trying to be very discreet.
So she followed them, also discreetly, trying not to make any noise to draw their attention and disturb them.
Yash and kids walked and sat in the corner. Payal sat on his lap and Palak and Ansh on each side of him. Aarti hid herself behind a pillar, from where she could clearly hear them, but they can't see her.
When Aarti hid herself, Yash felt a draft of cool breeze surrounding him. As if he felt her presence there. He looked around but saw no one.
Yash said "Ok my troops, lets commence our secret meeting"
A confused Payal asked "Papa what does commence means?"
Yash laughed while Palak and Ansh said in unison "Arey, Buddhu commence means start. Papa meant lets start our meeting"
Yash scolded them "Palak and Ansh, how many times I've told you no name, calling. No one will call anyone Buddhu and all"
When the kids said sorry, Yash continued " The purpose of this meeting is to discuss who will do what in taking mumma's care in my absence. So now I'll assign each one of you with very important tasks that you'll have to do when I'll be busy with my work"
Kids got excited hearing this. Aarti was happy to see Yash once again in playful mood interacting with kids.
Yash continued " From tomorrow morning I'll become very busy. I've got two contracts. One is for the marriage of a Minister's daughter. And another one is a social event. So I won't get time to spend with all of you for the next ten days or so. And it's possible that I might not be able to see you also, as I'll have to leave very early in the morning, when you'll be sleeping and I'll come late, when you'll be in bed"
Kids became disappointed hearing this, including Aarti. The thought of not seeing Yash throughout the whole day for the next ten days was upsetting.
Yash sighed " Even I'm feeling sorry that I won't get time to spend with you. But you all know that we came to Mumbai because I've to work here. But you also know that after I finish my work, our real vacation will start and then we all will have real fun"
Hearing this kids got excited and started to scream and dance, which brought a smile on Yash's and Aarti's face.
Ansh remembered something and said " Papa you'll have the take the exact same number do days for vacation, as the number of days you'll work. And that's an order and if you don't listen to us then we will call Dadaji-Dadiji and complain about you. They both will side with us and will scold you. So promise us that you'll take lots of days off" Payal and Palak also joined Ansh so Yash had to make them that promise.
Yash tightened his hold on Payal, who was still sitting on his lap and said "Ok now that I've promised you. In return you'll also have to promise me that you'll do what I tell you to do in my absence"
All kids confusingly looked at him, so he continued " You'll have to take proper care of your Mumma, when I'll get busy with my work. I'll assign each of you a task that you'll have to do in my absence. Ansh since you are the elder one and the and the naughtiest one, you'll have to make sure that Aartiji follows all your orders and take proper rest. You'll have to make sure that she remains happy all the time. You'll entertain her with your pranks. But make sure that you won't bother her too much"
And Ansh promised him.
He then turned to Palak " Palak you are the most sensible and responsible one. So you'll have to make sure that Aartiji takes her medicines on time. When no one is looking she hides her medicines and doesn't take them. You'll also make sure that she takes her meals properly and on time" and Palak promised him
Aarti was surprised, how come Yash knows that she hides her medicines when no one is looking at her. Yash knows that she hates to take medicine and is very careless regarding her diet also.
Payal questioned Yash " Papa you didn't assigned me anything. Even I want to take care of Mumma. Please give me a task also"
Yash smiled " Well Payal, you are your mumma's, favorite. You are her Angel. So your task is to make sure that she's never alone. Cause whenever she's alone she's all sad and depressed and we don't want to see her like that. Now do we?"
And all three screamed "NO"
Yash "Payal you'll also make sure that Ansh and Palak are following their orders. And all three of you will have to make sure that she goes to sleep on time every night. If she feels alone, when I come late. You'll keep her company"
Ansh said " You don't worry Papa, we won't leave Mumma alone even for a single second. And we will ask her to sleep with us if, till you come home. Can I tell you a secret?"
Yash said yes. Ansh said "Mumma is scared to sleep alone. Before she married you, we used to sleep together. And sometimes when I went to sleep with Badi Mummy, Mumma used to take me back in her room, cause she can't sleep alone"
Yash laughed as he learned something new about Aarti. He said "So Aartiji is also scared of something. I thought that she's JKR and she's not afraid of anything. But now I know her secret" He high-fived Ansh.
Payal innocently added "Ansh is right Papa. After going back to Bhopal from Mumbai, last time, when you got angry with Mumma and stopped talking with her. And she took us to Badi mummy's house for few days. That time also she was afraid to sleep alone. She missed you so much, she missed sleeping next to you that's why she used to cry at night and sometimes slept with a pillow by her side. Sometimes we slept with her as she was scared"
Yash was shocked to hear this. He closed his eyes as realization stuck him that he was so cold towards her, post Mumbai. How rudely he had behaved with her and how much her had hurt her. He never considered her feelings. Never gave it a thoughts what she might've gone through because of him. Though he had apologized to her for his behavior after coming from lalithpur, but was it enough?
He opened his eyes and said " Kids I promise you that from today, your Mom will never sleep alone. I'll be always there for her. Taking care of her. And if for some reason I'm not there, then one of you will take care of her till I return. Promise me that we will never leave Aartiji alone and will always look after her and will help each other to keep her always happy and smiling"
All three of them promised him and hugged him. Aarti got tears in her eyes, seeing this new and changed Yashji. She went away from there.
Yash felt the cool breeze leaving him, as if a part of him left from there. Yash got a strange feeling of emptiness when she discreetly went away from there.
That night, when Aarti entered their room, she saw Yash playing with the kids. They saw her enter and went and hugged her.
Payal said "Mumma do you know what Papa did right now?"
Aarti curiously asked "What?"
Payal said " Today he gave us new names. He called us his three Musketeers. Ansh is M1 Musketeer no. 1. Palak is M2, Musketeer no. 2 and I'm M3 Musketeer no.3"
Aarti laughed at the excitement on her face. She asked "Ok then what am I?"
Payal innocently said "Papa says you are JKR"
Aarti looked angrily at Yash "Yashji !"
He innocently shrugged his shoulder "Well you are JKR, even the thief, who stole my purse that day and whom you chased, called you JKR"
Aarti now started to laugh "Ok then what are you?"
Yash stood in the superman pose, showing his strong biceps "Don't you remember what you guys call me? I'm Superman"
Kids started laughing. Ansh asked " But Papa, Superman wears Red Underwear. Where's your?"
Palak thought for a second and said "Ansh Papa do have a Red Underwear. I've seen it, when Mumma folds everyone's clothes and puts them in respective drawers. Right Mumma-Papa?"
Yash and Aarti looked at each other, embarrassed. Aarti tried to handle the situation "Enough of chit-chat. It's your bedtime. Give your Papa a hug, since he'll become busy from tomorrow and then all of you go to sleep"
All kids moaned, but hugged their parents, wished them good night and went to their room.
After they left, Yash turned to Aarti "Aartiji I'll miss them for the next few days"
Aarti sighed "I know Yashji, they already are hating the idea of you not spending time with them. And don't worry I'll make them understand and will take care of them. I'll try my best to keep them entertained. But the fact won't change that they'll miss you".
Yash naughtily asked her "And what about you? Won't you miss me Aartiji?"
Aarti was not expecting this question from him, but she was not ready to answer him so easily, the answer that he was expecting. "Why would I miss you Yashji? I've my kids with me and we will have tons on fun together. Ok now I've to sleep. I'm very tired"
They went to sleep. At night Aarti accidentally put her feet on this. He woke up from his sleep. He remembered when last time Aarti did that, he had removed his feet from under hers.
But this time he enjoyed her touch, so unknowingly he kept his other feet on top of hers. And they slept like that the whole night.
Next day Yash left early morning. He didn't got a chance to meet anyone as all were sleeping.
All were a bit disappointed, but knew the reason.
In the evening Aarti was playing blindfold with them on the beach, which was right outside their beach house.
At that same time Yash came home early, as he had some free time before another meeting. He went to the beach when Bhawari told him that Aarti is there playing with kids.
He saw them playing. Aarti was blindfolded and was trying to catch others. When Ansh saw Yash and was about to scream, Yash pointed him to keep quite and started walking towards Aarti.
In an attempt to catch the kids, Aarti stumbled and Yash ran and caught her. Aarti stood straight and removed her blindfold. She opened her eyes and met Yash's intense gaze on her face. They both got lost.
They were so lost in each other that they couldn't even hear the kids giggle.
They were brought out of their intense eye lock, when Aarti felt someone's hand on her shoulder.
She spun around to see who the person was. Before she could say or react, Yash pounced on the person, grabbed his collar and punched him hard on his face. And said "How Dare You?..."

So friends how was it? Any idea who that person is, whom Yash punched so hard?
I know that you'll feel that this part was draggy and unnecessary. But I intentionally wrote this part. Cause I wanted to show the changing dynamics here. There are two major dynamics change...
1 - Aarti's and Vidhi's conversation is to show the difference between Aarti's and Arpita's nature. Their choices and likes and dislikes. And how they matched or didn't matched with Yash's choice and likes and dislikes.
It was also to show that now the mention of Arpita's name didn't bothered Yash at all. Which was a sign of his changing feelings towards Aarti. Which he has yet to acknowledge.
The whole bed on the terrace reference, will have a great relevance in the upcoming chapters and in the end.
2 - Yash and kids scene was to show his change in behavior towards his kids also. Earlier the kids were afraid to talk with him openly. But after this they'll start to open up to each other.
Plus in this scene Yash realized, how his behavior post Mumbai had affected Aarti. And how oblivious he was of the fact that he was hurting her badly.
Secondly he will start to realize that he doesn't know anything about Aarti. Her likes, dislikes. What makes her happy and what makes her sad.
So from now on slowly and slowly he'll try to see and know the different side of Aarti. And he'll get more and more attracted to her.
Which will increase his confusion.
The upcoming chapters will show, how in his confusion he'll start to move towards her and will do things that none of them ever imagined.
And this will start to confuse Aarti.
With the fear of not getting hurt this time, she'll try to stay at a distance from him.
But the more distance shell try to create, the more closer he'll get to her. And the more closer they'll come.
