Jyo, I loved your take on Aarti's fear about Yash's touch and her feelings about this marriage.
Samana, you crack me up. Good time for Yash to come and stick his hand in the batter indeed. I had a similar image with Yash sticking his ear to the door, listening to everything going on and jumping in like Superman and saying he will not go ahead with the marriage until the Scindia's get their ridiculous need to wave their power under the Dubey's and everyone else's nose under control.
My favorite scene was the one between Shobha and Aarti about Aarti's inner woman. In fact it is funny all through the weekend I was going through this in my head and wanted to post it but then became lazy and today Shobha and Aarti have this talk. So might as well go ahead and post my thoughts. I apologize if its way too long.
I think all through this marriage phase Aarti has been a woman struggling with two parts of her identities: Aarti the mother Vs Aarti the Woman
My biggest issue with Aarti has always been why would she want to have Yash as Ansh's father if she thought so badly about him. Parents are kids role model so she would want someone she could respect as her son's father. Thanks to Mansi, Aarti doesn't think much of Yash.
But then was it really through Mansi that Aarti formed her first impression of Yash?
I don't think so. Her first impression of Yash was when Shobha told her about the proposal and mentioned that Yash is widowed and has two little kids. I think at that moment Aarti compared Yash to Prashanth.
One had left his wife pregnant and alone to deal with raising their child. The other had stuck by his children even though the mother was no more and is considering another marriage to make those kids lives better. I think in that moment Yash came out with flying colors and "Aarti the mother" accepted Yash as a man who is dependable and one with integrity as opposed to Prashant. When Mansi starts filling her head with nonsense, "Aarti the woman" came to the forefront, adding to this was her own insecurities. As the wedding day approaches she feels more and more uncomfortable.
When Aarti's two identities recognize each other and accept each other and understand that if one identity has to be happy then the other should be happy too, only then can she become a complete woman and only then can Yash and Aarti have happy married life. I think Shobha today got her to think about these two identities today. So three cheers for Shobha. 👏
And PinkChocolate, yes I too feel Pratik and Pari are in for a rude awakening.
I really really liked today's episode. The Gayatri-Mr Khanna scene was very cute. Poor Gayatri, she is just not happy with either of her new daughter in laws. I am so glad they showed Shobha and Aarti standing up for what they believe is right and I am so glad they showed that 'woman talk' between mother and daughter. Kudos to the CVs/writers.
