I think girls would have had to cover their heads but no ghooghats.

see my replies in blue above. Great topic ppiyu

Will think of some more questions and come back

1] Exact Language (marwadi??)

2] Food (Uss jamane mein Dal bati hi hoti hogi, hai naa? Aur Papad Kyun?)

3] Costume (Lehenga for girls?? and guys dhoti kya? ya aur kuch?)

4] How they used to call each other? Like maa, pitaji, bhaiyya (or something else like matoshri, pitashri). Also Dev, devi?? ya ranaji, lalji?

5] Was there any castesim (like say high class, low class or something else) in those days? Lakshami said there is nothing mentioned in Raso about it.

Any thing else, please add.

language:marwari....thts da language very common in villages in rajasthan...at dat time....n hindi also....bt marwari mostly

food:dal-chawal,sabzi,roti......n kheer....

clothes:guys-dhoti n usually a turban on der heads...gurls...da normal village ghaghras...

dey usually used "ji" at da end 4 elders n gurls....bt very rarely guyz interacted wid gurls....except 4 young gals..(till da age on 14 i gues) rest used 2 cover der face wid ghoonghat...in front of strangers...outsiders...

as 4 da caste system i dunno abt tht..bt i gues it did exist.....bt wasnt such a big deal i gues...

no...it was not like that in the mahabharat days because during the draupadi swayamver all the pandav dressed as brahmin...and after winning the swayamver draupadi and her father came to know about their identity....BUT....i think only brahmin were considered after shatriya...no other caste was being considered

Yup Sonu, thats what I m trying to say........ Brahmin class in those days was considered higher than Kshatriya too. And it was a rule, a brahmin girl could only marry a Brahmin or equal class guy and not a kshatriya. But a brahmin guy could marry a Kshtiya girl or lower class. So was all this there in PRC's time?

no ishu....these two r diff caste but what i meant was brahmins were considered superiors or u can say kings used to respect them a lot that why after rajput and shtatriya only brahmins were being considered.......but till mahabharat time after that ....i dont think so.
