To be honest, No Historical show till now truly followed the norms of the era they depicted. t's all about modernity. 😆
I agree that unmarried men and unmarried women didn't meet each other that freely, but yes, if they were friends, I really doubt they can't. Prithvi and Amrusha were of course friends. Thus, they can meet. Now don't say that a man and woman can't befriend each other. In Mahabharat times itself, Krishna and Draupadi were Sakha - Sakhi. So were Arjuna and Satyabhama. Coming to being married off early, not everyone in that era did that. There was a Telugu poet called Molla. She was from a low caste but was rebellious and questioned the knowledge of royal pundits themselves. She denied marriage, and called herself as Rama's patni. She was mentally married to Rama. She wrote Molla Ramayanam in three days, as challenged by the king, astonishing everyone. There were many such people. Being a low caste woman, Molla has done it. Mrinalvati is a princess, so who would oppose her decision? Prithvi and Mrinalvati did not want to marry (as per this show), thus they didn't. There were no such restrictions. To get married, Prince and Princess' opinions were asked. Overall, my only complaint about the show is, I want to feel the historical aura. I want tilaks on men's forehead, a bindi on Mrinalvati's, and tied hair for Jakkala (as a married woman). This makes me feel the essence more stronger, but still, I don't have any problem with watching it as it is now. 😊

If a person wants to marry or not is ultimately his or her choice. But if he or she does not choose in a manner society wants ,the background noise keeps and beyond a point it will become very difficult if not impossible to continue 😊

That is very true. But if 10 people start on that journey initially, finally 2 or 3 will remain😆.
I dont from where you got the information that women were all married off, or they did not go out alone etc etc.
Let me tell you a story of Neelambari, [ na you wont find her on google]. her story is passed on from word of mouth.I heard it from my grandmother, she heard it from her grandmother. and so on..Goes back to centuries earlier.she was born in a south indian family, a large one.Never heard of her this story is a fake fake fake...A free spirited girl, brushed shoulders with her priest father and brothers, learnt the vedas and a Shiva Bakth. No story exists we are not fools. Never heard of this story. She roamed the forests, played by the stream all by herself.A lone soul.HumbugGot attached to nature and the beauty and serenity it brings with it.She wondered alone, mediated and meditated by the flowing streammeditation need not necessarily be sitting cross legged and closing ones eyes. She meditated in the gentle sound of birds, the river, the leaves. She refused to be tied down to marriage when she came of age.She became more and more one with prakruthi and detached from people, even though she did not leave her family and did not take sanyas.she lived and lived a full life as a spinster.she was well respected and sought after for her wisdom and the peace she brought it.So my point is every women in ancient times did not get married. There are many who did not make it to GOOGLE SEARCH
