Don't Blame Krishna alone

Today there are a lot of posts blaming Krishna for talking roughly to Pratigya and manhandling her . Well , I wud request them to calm down and look at it with Pearl Grey's perspective of realism that was once promised to us and which she adds in the amount of a dollop in every episode nowdays . .
As I saw the episode , I saw Krishna the husband in two angles . As a husband he gave her unconditional support in front of his full family and silenced them by declaring not to co erce her to go to the PuranMasi Fair . It was due to his support that as usual she won even this battle .She realised this and said Thank U to him , coz perhaps the grain of truth in her sasur's accusations had hit her a tad more than she cared to acknowledge openly or show. That she was constantly deprioritizing her sasural for her maayka. The sasural was not really wrong there , they hit the nail on the head , she never is there for them .
.
Then we see Krishna the husband as a man . He accepts her Thanks , unimpressed and stoic , and tells her a blunt truth ........that he ALWAYS has supported her as he regards himself as her PATI , whether she does or not is upto HER . The hurt , the sore wound starts opening up with her THANKS . It succeeds in not mollifying him but enraging him as he has ALWAYS given her support , right from the time she did not want to change name , to Kesar to her non apologetic stand when she went to her maayka ..........He left house for her and ALWAYS opposed his family for her sake and today she is saying THANK YOU . Wow , arent some people TUBELIGHTS ? The sarcasm in Krishnas answer starts from that Thank u and explodes when she says I wanna talk about Angad .
Angad who is a sore sore point with Krishna as
1] Its was Angads side that Pratigya took although Angad stabbed him
2] It was Angad's return in her life that she hid and it was Angads issue that she handled by herself without taing him in confidence to the point that thw whole of Allahabad knew it except him .........the police Inspector expressed surprise and he had felt very humiliated and hurt
3[ It was Angads isue that has become so sore that his sasur is in jail and he is being sandwiched between family and wife once more .
Angads name made him explode and see red . He is no more in a mood to listen and getting fed up of being taken for granted .
The way he sees it is I am constantly giving support and my demands , my feelings r dismissed off as UNIMPORTANT as always some other important issue is there in Pratigya's life . Today Angads issue is important , what i said has entered from one ear and thrown out of the other .
So he held her face , shook it and left her with a reality check ..........U live in the house where what Shakti does is DAILY ROUTINE in this house . Never did it to u , but dont dismiss me or take me for granted .
Crude as it was it was the dollop of realism that Pearl Grey promised ...........that Pratigyas fights have been succesful NOT due to her spirit but bcoz Krishna supported her . Even Aman Mathur wud not be on this case if Krishna had taken a strong stand and said I JUST DONT WANT HIM BAS .Pratigya had been ready to dismiss Aman too at a certain point.
Instead of hating Krishna for his actions why not see his support and the fact that he always leaves her ? Real hitting is different ..........and hissing to give a reality check is different . And thats what Krishna always does. He hisses but doesnt BITE . Not really that is .
We get so much pleasure from unreal fantasies that a womans sprit alone is enough to fight battles on alllll levels in narrow minded society in UP small towns , but we feel this incensed at some dollops of realism shown by Krishnas hissing periods that come very occasionally in this serial .Why ? Can't we handle realism ?Those who really hurt , would have hurt Pratigya long back , and perhaps in such a way that it wud be unrectifiable . This is realism for you . It is not necessarily sweet all the time , it is bitter and troubling to watch . But its TRUE.

I loved your post regardless of the fact that I don't agree with everything written above. But, I do agree with the fact that in reality she would have been hurt long ago because men like Krishna who have been raised in a violent atmosphere and behave the way he does do not exist this is reality.

I respecfully disagree with everything else I can't accept his behavior even though he supports her he always disappoints when she needs his support the most, and even though he supports her most of the time we can't overlook his actions towards her just because they may not be as bad as Shakti's.

I think thats what KoolSadhu is trying to say here, that this behaviour even though it is not sweet to watch, it is the reality in small towns of UP. Woman power in such places is actually a fantasy. I totally agree here with KoolSadhu that Pratigya is able to fight her battles and win them to some extent only because of who Krishna is- supportive unlike other menfolk but very rustic like all of them. Pratigya would not have survived her so called physical protection on her own without Krishna wanting the situation to be like that.

Young minds claimed that as usual , after supporting her he disappointed big time as he went back to his old ways.

What support do these young minds seek ?Support in front of his family and support in bedroom saying I love u darling of course Ill support u in this battle , ho ahead Im with u ..............or YOU ARE WELCOME when he hears the Thank You inspite of the raw wounds that Pratigya gave him on an emotional level which she never really bothered to treat when she later realised her mistake of misunderstanding him ? Explanations were not given to him , his wounds were not gently blown over , even friendship was seeked by her ON HER TERMS . He has realised by now that a lot of stuff is hidden by her and his sasural , and he blocks it from his mind . The relationship and its sad state bothers him , and the feeling of being taken for granted is increasing day by day . He still gives his unconditional support in public to her , but it is becoming increasingly difficult for him day by day now , as nothing has changed on HIS personal front . Thats the way I saw it .

Exactly my POV Binny 😊, as someone told me that Krishna is a very complicated character and still there are a lots of unknowns about him, he is very unpredictable. While Pratigya's character is well defined and she has always stood her ground no matter what. In reality I don't think either of these two character exists. Lets see where this story line takes us in next few weeks. The out come may surprise many of us as a lot will happen. The lawyers from both sides are going to give a re-cap of this love-hate story in a very interesting and dramatic ways with lots of questions answered for those who started watching this serial from somewhere in the middle..

Yes I understand that Krishna is supportive (though not always), but aggressive, but just as women power in a place like UP is a fantasy so is a man like Krishna it 's not at all reality nor is it the least bit possible. In reality a man like Krishna would have gotten what he wanted long ago, but this is a show and is better left not compared to reality. I agree his support has helped her but only to some extent, she has the ability to fight her battles even without his support and she has recently proven this when she hired aman, she only said she was willing to let him go to show Krishna the reality of what his father was doing she was not going to let the only lawyer and opportunity she had to save her father go with or without his support.

I know why the lawyers are there now. . In the courtroom as the case proceeds it wont be Shyamus case at all .....it will be Krishnas case presented to Pratigya and Pratigyas case presented to Krishna. . Both will come to a common point . He will stomp off from there and she will follow him , but the hate factor will be dissolved as both will be forced to see the reality and foolishness of their own actions from a third persons viewpoint . Thats what this court case is for . .
