The Saxenas wud have called him in , done sophisticated gol mol talks and ultimately refused to send Pratigya back home and she wud have continued staring impassively at him like a robot , standing firmly by her dads side . So he thought he can shout out and embarrass them in front of their neighbours and they will be forced to send her back to avoid further embarrassment? All the more reason why Prats should not budge. If she does where is the sabak she will be teaching?
Hence the public brawl ..to shame them into sending Pratigya back . Again ......subconscious reason .But thats the way I saw it . He is uncultured so public brawls dont matter a bit to him . If he controlled his tongue when Saxenas were there in front of SS it may be coz going against SS in front of Saxenas wud madden SS very much as EGO is everything for SS and he knows his Dad so well . The wrath wud be turned against the Saxenas with full force then. All I know is he did NOT control his tongue coz he is a coward . Neither does he fear the Professor nor his rattlesnake Dad . That is a confirmed fact .
Then let SS turn his anger full trottle and let him defend his in-laws honour as well as his wife. Afterall he is fearless of all. His in-laws have seen his wild side and have seen SS's wild side as well. so I bet he would not have surprised them if he shouted at his pa for raising his voice against his in-laws and dragging his wife out. IF Shyamji had not stepped in he would have let his pa literally pushed her out of their house. How appalling!
I told u .........it is part of one of the reasons . Not fully .......coz this lie has been told after that observation of his . He had been observing that the household is not exactly kind to her for quite some time before that . Things wud have been much more comfortable for Pratigya if she had him on her side , but she is rather stupid as a woman and prefers to suffer unecessarily it seems .
He is the root cause of her suffering. How is she to expect him to help her? As I see it, she is being the dutiful bahu and sis-in-law to all and does so willingly but she is refusing to be the dutiful wife to the fullest to him because she has a grouse only against him and not his family. They were not the ones who forced her to marry this wild man. It is this man's actions against her and her family (both actual and perceived) that had put her in this prison of marriage. So she does not appear stupid to me.
Well , he observed it himself .........then this lie occured so I thought , that is partly one of his reasons . We see him telling SS later that baby if not born today will be born 18 months later .......meaning I need more time to get her to come around , for me time was no problem , but for u , silly old man , it was .
Although SS was keen that Prats have a baby earlier, after he came to know of Kesar's baby he was not exactly gunning for eigther Krishna or Prats. Yes, he thought that Prats too was preg because of the nausea but waited when his wife warned that this could be a false alarm. So I dont see why Krishna could not not come out with the truth after the visit to the doctor. SS would have been a little disappointed but I doubt as much as he was when Krishna forced him into accepting Prats as his D-i-l. Yes, the baby could have been born in 18 months. Why did he not say that to his pa then and not now when the damage has already been done?
U wanted this baby rIGHT after the honeymoon and was adamant it shud be born after nine months . So another subconscious reason crops up .....of coaxing Pratigya to come around . I saw two or 3 reasons in his lie .......
Well, the babay would not have come out in 9 months if he planned to wait around for Prats to yield unless he forced himself on her. So we come back to his basic reason, chance pe dance!

U see it as coercing Pratigya to ultimately sleep with him .......I see it as a desperate human attempt with an unyielding wife who wont ever listen . Regarding how he was gonna carry this lie to term ............it wud have been interesting to watch but we never got to see it .

I never said he did, he acted right after she said how can I continue with this lie as a woman's body will give it away. Does he really have to spell it? He married an educated woman, remember?
Have these words been spoken loudly by him ? That he was raping her to enforce pregnancy ? If I missed that dalogue ur right .If that was not said ..........u inferred that as his subconscious thought as u have no way of knowing if the rape was intended for sexual gratification , or to teach her a lesson or to enforce a pregnancy . So then it becomes merely your guess . Seeing an attempted rape scene gives us no cause to infer that it is done to enforce a pregnancy unless the dialogue is spoken out clearly . He is not crowd shy to WIN . But he will definetely be crowd shy to LOSE . And saying sorry publicly is NOT WINNING . He has a massive male ego and for her he went on his knees is the truth with that Sarry .Unfortunately ..........she does not have the sensitivity to even begin understanding that as a woman . Nainaji has noticed this as a woman , so has Komal .
Oh yes, Komal noticed that and right after that she ticked him off! Talking of sensitivity does he have any. During the honeymoon he humiliated her in public by throwing aspertions on her character and when he saw her weeping, he asks her what was she crying about. Such is the level of insensitivity in him for someone he loves. So how can he even begin to expect sensitivity from her. So only his feelings count and not hers?
He did it for HER . Instead of being surprised by that by knowing him only too well by now if she only crosses her arms and simply accepts it and gloats over it only proves that her education has NOT refined or sharpened her instincts or intelligence at all has it ? That action of his shud set her brains working a little .........even Komal has more brains inspite of being uneducated. He dragging her by the hand and letting the Saxenas watch impotently while police kept quite shud have nOT surprised her as that is a normal scenario but he apologising publicly shud have indeed surprised her a little at least as a woman . We dont see her dwelling on it AT ALL that the change in him has started , that she means a lot to him as a woman . Robotically she shuts her mind , and goes in , doing her duties there too . Thats Partly true .......Her progressive ideas would NOT have been carried to fruition and yielded result if he had not stepped in holding Shakti back . Had he not followed her , her progressive ideas wud have taken a toss out of the window had she encountered Shakti alone. Shakti wud have pushed her aside , dragged Kesar back to the operation theater and threatened the Doctor with a gun to do exactly as told . Her education enabled her to talk to the doctor and Kesar .beyond that what did it do ? The truth is just with her education she cannot make a diffrence but with Krishnas support she can .But she does not realise this . The world that she is trying to change..SS's world ........cannot be changed with education alone at all . Her progressive ideas have no value there is the blunt truth . Even police r in the hand of brutal power .If she wants her progressive ideas implemented then she needs Krishnas support . When I say he is practical I mean he talks far less than her but he knows what he is talking about ..like he told her why his mom lashed out at her inspite of she rushing to support HER . Her progressive , educated mind was clearly unable to comprehend the reason , didnt it ? But he gave her the correct answer .
So voilence is the answer to everything? As to her unable to comprehend his mother, did that answer he gave do any good to her? She was still facing her torture and he was mostly a mute spectator. I would respect him if he decides to leave that hell hole, makes a man of himself which by the way is not going around throwing his wieght around but actually working for a living and then try to get back the woman he loves rather than force her back to the hell hole where her miseries will only be multiplied hundred fold post the lie.
Prats and the other two women are not in the same league for the latter are not educated. Prats is not as helpless as you think she is. She can well stand up for herself. If such a fate befalls her, she would have walked out in the first instant. As to not being allowed to go out, she could have found her ways to get out.Prats is innocent if she thinks that . After Rape .a woman is a woman .....educated or non educated doesnt matter , they r in the same boat . Rape breaks a woman .

Here in the US when we see counselling done to rape victims , we see the broken spirit of raped women who go back to their abusers and accept abuse as a part of life .
From what we have seen of Prats I doubt she will be one of those dumb women.
These r educated women and prosecutors have a hard time making them press charges against rapists ....in fact more than half the time the charges r dROPPED by the women gainst rapist husbands . Confident , educated women .
There are equal number of cases where women have fought and won cases against their husbands. Can we forget the Bobbit case where she cut of the man's you know what?
Prats DID succumb to circumstances and marry him right ......so why think she is so invincible that she wud not succumb to the after effects of rape ?
She did not want him to hurt her family. It was more for them than for her that she married him. I dont know what your tolerance level is when it comes to physical force. But to me even an attempt is enough to *** me off the man. A handsome face notwithstanding.
You view it as an obsession story , I view it as a love story . There is scene in this serial ..........the pink sari scene where Pratigya tells Roli that she is wearing it to meet him and tell him that if he really loves her he will let her go and not bother her family . At that point she was not furious as such with him but wanted to meet him and talk to him, explaining her concept of 'Love' to him and seeing if he will let her go . Well , we never got to seeing that scene ..........if Krishna , after hearing her out , wud reflect on it and LET HER GO . We do see him saying to his friend letter if she is angry why wud I not MANAO her .....why wud I consider it beneath me to placate her .....shhe is my wife and I love her . So Krishna DOES listen when love is referred to . He trys to understand various facets of that emotion in his clumsy way . Maybe if Pratigya had met him , things wud have been diffrent ..........as it happens , she didnt and Angad went on fuelling his misunderstandings. Till now they have not had a heart to heart real talk . And that scene gave many viewers like me the hope that this serial wud turn into a love story later . Komal's recent dialogues about he loves her but goes about it the wrong way and she doesnt understand it confirms this .
Well there is also this other scene where he breaks up her engagement where he literally leaves her with no choice but to falsely admit the engagement is against her will. Now how do you explain his behaviour then? Given that I doubt whether he will really understand her. He will only blank that out and keep harping on his one-sided obsession. Komal is no authority on love. We have seen many instances of her childishness.
I would say a rape attempt is equally demeaning to a woman, especially when she had said she trusts him. Had I been in her place I would have left him on that day itself.
Left him ? My dear its a gunda family like the mafia. If he decides not to let her leave she can't do a thing about it . Then what wud she do ? Do u seriously believe it is easy to walk out on that family ? Why wud he be scared she wud leave ? What he is scared of is that she will not give him a chance in her emotions ..........it all comes down to he wanting a place in her emotions . And so he chooses NOT to use Abuse or force with her although he has unlimited power at hand to do it . Her complaints of marital rape will be tossed out by the police ..........He can do so much to her yet he doesnt and that shud tell her sumthing. It is not a question of Prats being smarter than the other wives at all ........her smartness has no value in the house and cannot protect her from gundas . If anyone stands between her and THEM [ like he stood in front of Shakti when Shakti wud have really hit her on abortion day] is Krishna . Just see what Amma tells her ...Ab Baba bhi nahi hai tumhe bachaane ko . That means sumthing .
So what if it is a goonda family? Just because he has not yet raped her does not excuse many of the things he has done to her. Let him prove his love for her by giving her a life which is away from all the violence for he knows she does not like it.
