Krishna- the real victim

I have been following Pratigya religiously since I started watching it two months ago. During a weekend I caught up with the story on IF and youtube since the beginning. And after watching the whole series so far, I feel, in my view and opinion, that Krishna and not Pratigya actually has been the victim in the storyline. He has been a victim of the indifference- from his wife Pratigya and of the taunts from his family.

Let me put forward how and why do I feel so (before I start to get brickbacks).

But kindly allow me to ask few questions first.

Did Krishna beat Nitin?

Did Krishna kidnap Pratigya?

Did Krishna write Pratigya's name on the wall outside the Saxena household?

Did Krishna know that Pratigya wore the pink saree that he had gifted to her not as a symbol of her love for him but for the only reason that she wanted to meet him and explain to him her side?

I am sure every member on the forum knows the answers to these questions as much as I do.

Now let us get to the Kriya relationship after the marriage. Krishna married Pratigya for his love for her, though Pratigya had her own reasons and motive to do so. Now if we go to the meaning of a marriage, we see several definitions, theories, several meanings (hope I've used the right word) of marriage, but above all the other things- the main meaning and purpose of a marriage is establishing sexual relationship between two individuals who are married. Of course knowing each other, understanding each other and respecting each other in a marriage is also very important, and that comes with time. But overall marriage is for procreation. I am sure you will agree with me that sexual gratification is one of the important needs of a human being and thus the social institute of marriage has been established in all cultures, religions, communities for that purpose. Imagine a world without MARRIAGE.

Coming back to the character of Krishna, he has been denied of it. What say?

I know it has been a long post. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to read it. I have no intentions of hurting any feelings, sentiments. However, if you think I have crossed a line, kindly bring it to my notice for I never cease to learn.

Yes, going back to the previous epidsodes, Krishna looks like the real victim! But later in the serial, all these things will be clarified!

dear I also started watching this programme sometimes back only.....I was also surprised earlier that why did pratigya marry him if she dislikes him, but later I came to know that there was no other option left for pratigya except marriage.....I know you are right that sexual relationship is a part of healthy marital relationship, but what when marriage occurs forcefully by someone in anyones life, will those people will still enjoy the physical relationship with that person whom they don't like from heart.....in this programme this is only one sided love so there is not any fault of pratigya as she has right whether she should be touched by anyone or not ....... can anyone force any another to start loving him/her......love can't be attained forcefully.........

Yes, marriage is for procreation besides several other reasons. Coming to Kriya's marriage it is no ordinary marriage. While Krishna may have married Pratigya for what he keeps referring to as love, Pratigya did not marry him for the same reason. She may be wallowing in a lot of misunderstanding but Krishna is no dhood ka dhulha. He did break Pratigya's engagement. He did get her bro arrested. He did bully her into submission, none of which fits in her definition of love. So she married him to teach him a lesson. If that is the case, then how can one expect her to give him the one thing he wants most, ie herself in body and soul? If she does then where is the question of teaching him a lesson? Physical intimacy is an integral part of marriage. But to her this is no marriage but a compromise she was forced to accept because of his bullying. So why should she suddenly give in? Especially since he appears to have not changed a bit. Even today he was shown bullying with his in-laws and his parents. All because he wanted Pratigya back. He sounded more like a willful and stubborn child, a spoilt brat rather than a loving husband. He even broke a vase on his bro's head (must admit the scene was pretty comic and his bro deserved what he got). No civilised person would behave this way. He does not need Pratigya right now. He needs a Psychiatrist. His unhealthy obsession is getting over board.

Despite all the drama, I liked today's episode mainly because of Komal and her interaction with her bro. She paid him in his own coin and left him speechless. . Komal's interaction with her 'Sasu Amma' later was also fun. I am beginning to like this girl and it appears that Adharsh too is developing a liking for her. It is a pity she would be lured back into that junglee family soon as SS tries to take revenge against the Saxenas.

.

Very well written and I agree with you. A very important part of marriage that leads to a sexual relationship is respect, understanding and committment to one another to stand by each other.
None of those things have been achieved so how will any sexual aspect of the relationship achieve a healthy marriage. What Krishna calls LOVE is really an obsession on his part to attain her and dominate her. He doesn't consider woman his equals, he thinks they are beneath men. He doesn't want to talk to her and listen to her, he just wants to have her stay home, take care of children that they have and be an ornament in his life.
As soon as Pratigya shattered that image that he had he didn't know what to do and he has been acting very inappropriately since the wedding night. If Pratigya hasn't talked to him about the misunderstandings then neither has he sat down with her and wanted to know why she hates him so much.
Krishna is acting like an obsessed lunatic and he really needs time to cool down and appreciate Pratigya's presence in his life. Then and only then will he start to respect her and trust her.....

Hello dear , thanx for your clarification.....I came to know that thing through this forum....but the way Krishna is behaving right now is a little proof that he would have bullied pratigya earlier also.....
