I have been following Pratigya religiously since I started watching it two months ago. During a weekend I caught up with the story on IF and youtube since the beginning. And after watching the whole series so far, I feel, in my view and opinion, that Krishna and not Pratigya actually has been the victim in the storyline. He has been a victim of the indifference- from his wife Pratigya and of the taunts from his family.
Let me put forward how and why do I feel so (before I start to get brickbacks).
But kindly allow me to ask few questions first.
Did Krishna beat Nitin?
Did Krishna kidnap Pratigya?
Did Krishna write Pratigya's name on the wall outside the Saxena household?
Did Krishna know that Pratigya wore the pink saree that he had gifted to her not as a symbol of her love for him but for the only reason that she wanted to meet him and explain to him her side?
I am sure every member on the forum knows the answers to these questions as much as I do.
Now let us get to the Kriya relationship after the marriage. Krishna married Pratigya for his love for her, though Pratigya had her own reasons and motive to do so. Now if we go to the meaning of a marriage, we see several definitions, theories, several meanings (hope I've used the right word) of marriage, but above all the other things- the main meaning and purpose of a marriage is establishing sexual relationship between two individuals who are married. Of course knowing each other, understanding each other and respecting each other in a marriage is also very important, and that comes with time. But overall marriage is for procreation. I am sure you will agree with me that sexual gratification is one of the important needs of a human being and thus the social institute of marriage has been established in all cultures, religions, communities for that purpose. Imagine a world without MARRIAGE.
Coming back to the character of Krishna, he has been denied of it. What say?
I know it has been a long post. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to read it. I have no intentions of hurting any feelings, sentiments. However, if you think I have crossed a line, kindly bring it to my notice for I never cease to learn.
