Of imli, spices, and sweet dreams

Two almost strangers, about to be tied into a lifetime of togetherness, sit side by side, silently. But the silence is not desired, anything but. An eager friend steps in to remedy the situation and the two find themselves alone on the terrace. What follows is a study in human emotions: excitement, hesitancy, joy, fear, kinship, shyness, earnestness. He starts out by asking self-deprecatingly whether he could become the Prince of her dreams. And proceeds to tell the three most important things about himself: works in the city, has a B.Com degree, and loves spicy food ,sweets and khatti imli, with "namak alag se". That is the magic word...imli...instantly she looks up and beams at him. A kindred spirit. He asks, Chalega? She can only smile shyly, before worriedly asking... "main aapko pasand hoon?" Tells him about leaving school, and having lost her parents...yet another moment of instant connection. He confesses he is an orphan too and goes on to detail his dearest wish...to have a family of his own. A family that he will build with her...his Parvati.

She runs away delighted, straight to Bholenaath's temple...to offer her heartfelt gratitude. She cannot believe her blessings...is afraid that they may be transient. And she pours her heart out to Shivji...verbalizes her silent dreams: that of having her own house ...where she could choose the color on the walls, hammer a nail, hang a calendar ...have her own little kitchen, and a family to belong to. Always a fair girl, she promises Bholenaath gifts in return..." main na aapki Parvatiji ke liye ek nayi sutri si chunni banaongi...kaanch ke kaam ki" Her only complaint that the man she is getting married to does not have Shivji's name.

What an absolutely, positively delightful episode.❤️ These two sequences talked to me...and for the first time in seven days, I felt connected. The scale, the cinematography, the staging...all have been spectacular from day one...but for me, the show today found its soul. And not a moment too soon. Paro came into her own, and just like that, everything became that much more interesting. A love story really works for me when the audience is equally invested in both the protagonists. That balance was achieved today. Beautifully!!⭐️

Lesson Plan - Jan 8th 2014 - Learnings from a daily soap
1. Complain about the dress of the main lead and see the change happen.
Moto: They care!
Explanation: All this means is that Laila-sa gets the same stitched duppatta treatment as Paro-bai-sa. Kisi ki fingers itch karein to show waale kya karein?
Note: It could also meant that they can afford only one dress designer who can think of only one design for any show. Case in point the patchwork on the sleeves that have been seen in three shows by Paro-bai-sa now. Need to investigate more before making changes to the lesson plan
2. Praise something and you shall receive so much of it that you can almost hear the heartache.
Moto: Ask and you shall receive!
Explanation: Yesterday while I was happy for Paro-bai-sa and grateful that her banna was really in to this wedding and not playing games, today banna-sa added so much sugar and helped build the kayaali pullao so perfect that the taste of what is to come will be extra bitter.
Note: One monolog/conversation from Banna-sa reveling his true intensions can still break my heart, thought bholenaath ke kripa se Paro-bai-sa will remain blissfully unaware for many many many moons to come.
3. Education qualifications go down with each successive show.
Moto: The lesser educated the main female charchter, the better the show!
Explanation: Woriginal bitiya was in college in the show before woriginal show. In woriginal show her education status is still unknown but she could kind of talk english, walk english and even turn on a computer. In the current show she is panchvi pass.
Note: Kya boluin ab?
4. Of all the good you see, wish for one extra and face the consequences.
Moto: TV Gods work in mysterious ways!
Explanation: Paro-bai-sa is floored by Banna-sa. He is every thing she every prayed for. Now if only his name was one of the many that bhole naath calls his own. TV God said tathastu right on spot. Hello Hi Rudra-sa and bye bye Banna-sa.
Note: Humaari amma kaha karti thi - soch ke manga karo. Someone needs to teach TV actors the same.
5. You can get ear ache just by watching a show
Moto: Don't watch daily shows when recovering from an ear infection!
Explanation: The heavy, long, ornate ear hangings that Paro-bai-sa was wearing had me extra sympathetic towards her. But then the poor thing was made to run wearing those and my ears started to ring in pain.
Note: The ear ringing could be because of my own ear infection. Please excuse!
6. Talking to the wrong person can be injurious to health.
Moto: Truthfulness is not always godliness!
Explanation: Bindi-sa saw the baratis with all those guns. She got away with her life intact, but the do good bug bit her and she went and blurted it all to barne-sa
Note: Bye bye Bindi-sa, it was nice knowing you.

Today we get to see the real simple side of Paro. May be after all this episodes for declaring what Rudra and Thakur are really is, the creative team today showed us the simple Paro...
This girl is going to be the big player in the game of Rudra Vs Thakur...
They may get what they want to achieve, but in this process they are going to spoil the life of this innocent girl...

Strangely i watched the promo and todays episode and i felt so sorry for paro...May be thats why i was crying for Paro when she happily talking to her shivji...

Roomal for me too because that is what I exactly reached out for after watching the episode. Don't know if it is cold or the episode left a depressing feeling in me.

Kala Pani Saza, Day #4:

Dear Diary,

Barney-sa is still in his purple costume, looking dashing as usual. Now that I have gotten that out, let me tell you what else happened in Birpur.

Turns out Bindu was in town to perform cabaret, errr item number for wedding. And dude thought she came all the way just for him, duh.

Dude and Pappu are celebrating BSD traditional day and decide to scope out girls at sangeet. Since both Kamariya and Bindu could spot him right away, obviously he needs to work on his smooth moves. Never mind. No one else paid attention to him, even though he walked around suspiciously during the dance. But chalata hai.

Banna-sa wants to make sure K can talk and convinces fangirl to bring her to the terrace. (Oh no a terrace scene) A lot of Tharro Mharro later, Banna and Kamariya are convinced that they couldn't have found a better partner for themselves on SarhadParMatrimony.com. Sexy-sa knows the best, ofcourse. K was only looking for 2 attributes anyways. He should like Imali with salt and his name should rhyme with her Bholenath ji. Too bad with the name. But chalata hai.

Bindi in the meantime has spotted the bandook assembly going on, right in the haveli, behind an open door of course. As expected she runs to Sexy-sa with the information. What? You thought she would run to fatfatiya Dude, even though he had saved her saheli???? Chalata hai

Meanwhile Dude and Pappu manage to catch Kesari, who has finally used up all his 7 lives and start playing good cop bad cop with him.

Tomorrow looks like is you can kill, I can too day. Janake ke liye dekhate rahiye...

Tulip, it not just you. Knowing what is to come makes me very sad for Paro. Broken dreams and every single tear that will flow from her eyes will cause all our eyes to mist over as well.

Beautifully said Visi🤗. It's really heartbreaking seeing Paro's smile and knowing how short lived it would be.
