dead right you are, faiqa... many men have written about women with deep interest and empathy. there may be a little gap but not this yawning gaping divide.
which is why like you i now wonder more and more, was the writing or the script as good as was always stated/claimed?
or was it really the performance by actors that made ipk great?
i do like the dialogues usually... but in 185/186 khushi's dialogues were far from convincing. poorly written, really.
and shouldn't she be terribly creeped out after being pawed like that?
this was the whole thing.. just to come to some point in the script, all sorts of weird routes were taken, most of which sacrificed the character of khushi.
i came to the forum when this chaos started post marriage,... the bizarre gh track... when she was goofy beyond belief. i used to ask my husband after snarling through an episode, tell me, is tjis normal... okay so this guy has forced her into a crazy arrangement for six months and not explained anything to her... but on the other hand, he's not raping, beating molesting her... so would it be normal to react in this half with fashion in that case?
he had no answer.
so i came to the forum.
soon after, gh claimed they knew their characters well, and no one had the right to say the things they were saying.
i remember a very frustrated note from gh at one point. actually i did empathise with him... and i do believe the storyteller is the owner of his tale... so yeah... but take ownership then and make it great, make it work, not just take the easy way out and lose the integrity of a story...
ah well.
