Amazing discussion... I loved reading it... And di, as you said those 2 reasons are very true... He was confused what to do to save his di's marriage... Had it been some other girl, it would have been a bit easier for him to decide... But that girl is Khushi... If he completely believed that Khushi is wrong, he wouldn't have married her... What he saw definitely shook his trust & love for her... A protective brother & a possessive lover plunged into action... 'sach chupane ke liye isse punishment samajh lo'... He punished her for hiding things from him, for letting things go out of control (if the truth was revealed earlier, Arnav would have kicked out Shyam long before & Anjali wouldn't have become pregnant)... After confronting shyam, Arnav came towards Khushi in anger... But he never told her anything... This was his revenge... They both didn't share the truth with each other... Maybe Arnav thought what is the use of telling her, when things have gone out of control... Which is exactly Khushi too thought, when she came to know that Anjali is pregnant... Khushi fought with him as he didn't bother to explain her the reason behind their marriage... Arnav asked her, 'khushi tum mujhe explain karna zaroori nahin samjha'... How similar these two are...
