Arnav:

Nafrat hai humey ke aapne chot diye itne gehre

Hazaaron sawaal they, jawaab na de paaye

Along with a cheat, you cheated everyone

The veil of innocence removed from the face

I hate you, why did I trust you?

It was necessary to stop the incoming torrent of life

Didn't know that it would have this effect

However I may wish, can't stop the storm in your eyes

I hate you for because of you, I became a beast again

Khushi:

You took me to the skies and dropped me from there

Made me see lovely dreams and pushed me into a haze

Everyone went away, I am left alone

I hate you for you gave me such deep wounds

A thousand questions, but couldn't reply any

Neither with Di nor Jiji could I open up my heart

Why did I heed your honour, why couldn't I tell anyone?

I hate you for I became so helpless

something curiously grand in those words, almost regal their bearing.

i feel their mess within, their pain... their voices rising in agonising emotion and settling on the word that might bring an end to this terrible feeling. nafrat. like of you said it some part of you will feel better. thanks for this moving poem.

Lovely poem Durga.. How hurtful when they said the words I hate you.. I really liked these 2 lines.. He never was shaitaan but always that gaping hole in his heart.. a shadow living in the past.. but she came in and brought color, sound, laughter into his life. He knew his ma wouldn't be happy with who he was and that gave him a shaitan like feeling. Hadn't he told Khushi just that? And then when he finally becames softer, alive he is almost forced back to being ruthless. And to make a girl feel most precious. Increase those dhakne and then suddenly force her to marry him. The girl had looked so beautiful in those days.. You know the night of their marriage when Khushi came into the room and walked upto him and cried I felt she hadn't really grasped that he did it out of hatred. Part of her may have hoped it is some veiled laad governor way of loving her. And then all this hatred.. nafrat.. uff.. 💔

Jaane kyun hai lagta, baat kuch aur hai

Dil bhi hai kehta, nahi unka kusoor hai

Mami ki aad mein, pyaar se kangan pehnana

Di ko dikhlane, parvaah humari karna

Nafrat karne wala, pagal sa humey dhoondhe

On Mami's excuse, putting on the bangles lovingly

For showing Di, taking care of me

Sometimes I feel, this is not a facade

The one who hates me, searches madly for me

The one who doesn't think of me as a wife, tells the whole world

She's my wife, stop me if anyone can

Is it true, what my ears have heard?

But how can I think that it's true, harassed me so much

All my wedding dreams broke in an instant

His favourite bangles now irritate him

And he threw away the memories related to them

I was perhaps searching for the happy moments

I forgot how much sadness he had given

It's not a fact, it's just my delusion

Perhaps we may never belong to one another
