He felt he was protecting his Di but his revenge and the pain he supposedly would cause on Shyam and Khushi by separating them was his intention. Do it fast and elope because that would bring shame to Khushi and pain to her family thereby causing her more hurt. She supposedly hurt his Di and himself too, so why not hurt her in this way. There was no time to think just hurt! If he married Khushi then the cheaters would no longer have the opportunity to cheat because he was now her husband and she was not available. Little did he know that he was wrong!

I think he made that decision to elope at that time because he wanted to use Payash's wedding as leverage to make Khushi comply to his demand! Also, to hurt her further is to deny her the full wedding with all the rituals because he knew those are very important to her! Again the pain and rage took over!

4:15 AM Couldn't sleep, so I got up and went inside the living room not to disturb John. Put on my television to my DVR and watched IPK the 5/31 episode. That's the one with the hut scene, Khushi finds Arnav finally. So beautifully done. Moved me to see him so vulnerable and letting his guard down to finally show Khushi how he feels about her even to the point of almost consummating their so called marriage.
I also was surfing our thread and watched all the amazing VM's especially the ones where the rituals and customs of the Raizada family are carried out. ASR carrying in Khushi, great video by Telly Tadka. Their expressions were so intense. You can see his hatred and resentment for her so clearly in Barun's eyes. He is a brilliant actor. Kudos for Sanaya as well, noone portrays those sad hurt eyes like she does.
And then the sun came up.
Sunrise, such a gift from the Divine. I walked outside to see and felt so blessed. Another day. What a blessing! Another day of IPK reminicing.
I chuckled a bit, thinking all I really think about in my crazy world is about IPK, this thread and all of you. I truly think I am out of my mind. Love you all!

Cynth, beautiful reminiscing. how many nights, days, wee hrs have gone by like this and we still seem be there.
Thanks for sharing.

Faiqa, I completely agree wit you in this matter. My heart just pierced into pieces to see the pain of Khushi. You know today when i was writing 195 in words, I couldn't type because my eyes were getting blurry every now and then. And my heart was aching severely. We know Arnav was terribly hurt and felt cheated, but how could he impose a girl without taking her consent. She had every right to know what was her guilt. Later in spite of her incessant queries,how cum he remained silent. Ok if he could tear asunder her with afflictive words, then why not he told about her deception?
can't agree with you more that if he was the decision maker of the family, why he just married her clandestinely, where Anjali and nani also wanted him to marry Khushi. I think they did it to create suspense in the story.
Cynthia I don't think Arnav wanted to bring shame on Khushi. Though he hated her that time, but he never wanted her to get insulted in front of others. so that when amma slapped her, he got angry and cringed inwardly later in his room. Remember how he antagonized the women in the mooh dekhai rasam for humiliating Khushi. Inspite of so much hate Arnav's love for Khushi was still there.

Sohara I agree he would never want to bring shame to her but at that moment I truly believe he did and would do anything to hurt her. His underlying feelings for her were definitely there especially when Garima slapped her. You could see the anger in his eyes but his gussa blinded him at that time. He would do anything to hurt "them" at that moment including shame. In my pov if he didn't want to shame her and her famiy he wouldn't have forced her to marry him. Elopement is absolute shame, I believe, for all involved, including his family. Yes or No?

Your logic seems sensible. May be you are right. His rage was so flagrant at that time, what could burn everything on it's wake. and his anger just didn't let him think sanely.

@Cynthia

in black ...underlined...I was chatting with AD too in this matter,I don't think he was doing this for revenge but when I watched this like 20 times to get it I got confused for a while as there are so mixed emotions going on there.It does seem as it is in those moments as he is not thinking straight...but he does realize it sooner when he sees her totally lost and having war herself...his frozen ,icy eyes get soften yet his EGO doesn't let him climb down and he gets harden next moment and went with his decision.He definitely didn't want shame for her family...no way that is not his trait..absolutely not ASR style...He wanted to hurt her that was sure...not her family.

He wanted to make sure he married her for the sake of his Di...but why in Temple?...

@sohara

That underlined if you read mine and Horizon discussion...you will see

It's because he didn't want to lose her...He knew he did wrong and he shouldn't do that ,the way he married her after doing that...realization hits him and then he becomes quiet as he knew he will lose for forever...

@Kat

That makes sense that he wanted to deprive of her wishes as a punishment and it will hurt her as he was seeing that hurt visibly and hear that loud enough when she questions her and when Anjali gives her wedding dress and he was observing her change expressions...That clicks in my brain.

Thnx Ladies😊

Arshi, the essential part in his head at that moment is to make Khushi unavailable to Shyam ASAP. He is blackmailing her, so it has to be done while Payal and Akash are very much in that mandap. Yes, his family would have agreed to get them married, but the longer, traditional way with all the rituals, for which he has NO time or interest.
What if Khushi were to be truly a culprit, then would his actions make sense that is to punish some one for adultery? They do, and that's where he is coming from. From someone's POV, like the viewers, who is aware of all the facts, Khushi got an undeserved punishment. But from some one, not aware of it, like him, she deserves it. But alas, as they say, half truth is more dangerous than total ignorance like the half realities he knows now!
CVs didn't think this as an actual marriage. They meant this to be forced. And, always had the whole nine yards of all rituals in sight for future.

Beautiful write-up on Episode 194! 👏 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ I enjoyed reading it! As Arnav was carrying Khushi, you could see the love she has for this man and how badly she'd yearned for happily ever after! I agree with you that these scenes are pure magic! Love your gifs and thank you for sharing Zoha's fantastic vm!

thanks Kate for reading.
yes kate, their yearning, their unconditional love was still there, what was reflecting in their eyes.
