WHY RIYAAZ? - Page 13

I think I would put it like this. If I do bending exercises everyday, I am able to touch my toes easily. But if I stop doing it for several months or years, I suddenly find that I am not able to touch my toes any more. It should be the same principle with vocal chords. If we don't stretch them and tone them, they become loose and flabby...we lose control. We try to sing a certain note but find that the throat is producing some other note! Riyaaz is nothing but vocal exercise.

Why does it happen ! I ask you because you have more knowledge of music n I am just a new comer !

I have always wanted to know this from NRI's..generally riyaaz is done early in the morning. For those people living abroad and especially in town houses or apartments,has doing riyaaz early morning , fetched you the wrath of the neighbours for disturbing their sleep?
