Samantha Ruth Prabhu hugs Raj Nidimoru in viral post; fans ask if it’s finally official

Samantha Ruth Prabhu once again found herself at the centre of speculation after sharing a set of photos from a recent event. Among them, one image stood out — a warm embrace with filmmaker Raj Nidimoru, best known as one half of the Raj & DK duo. The picture quickly became the internet’s talking point, with many fans convinced that Samantha may have made her relationship “Instagram official.”

The actor posted the images from the launch of her perfume brand, Secret Alchemist, on Friday. The eighth photo in her carousel caught everyone’s attention — Samantha seen hugging Raj with a bright smile. He too appeared at ease, holding her close in what seemed like an affectionate moment. Fans flooded the comments section with reactions like “Is it official?” and “Absolutely loving the 8th slide!” Another user added, “8th … Happy for you Sam.”

In the pictures, Samantha wore a black lace outfit while Raj opted for a black formal suit. Her caption read, “Surrounded by friends and family. Neither Samantha nor Raj has addressed the rumours, but this isn’t the first time they’ve been spotted together. Their professional connection goes back to The Family Man 2 (2021), which marked Samantha’s OTT debut. Since then, they’ve collaborated again on Citadel: Honey Bunny (2024) and are currently working on Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom for Netflix. Raj Nidimoru was earlier married to Shhyamali De, and reports suggest the two finalised their divorce in 2022.

Soon after Samantha’s post, the picture began circulating widely across fan pages and entertainment accounts. While many celebrated the duo’s bond, others pointed out how natural their comfort looked together.
