The show has brought up another often encountered evil at work- sexual harassment.
Although what Rupali intends to do to Manav is an extreme form, many of would have dealt with this in smaller ways- discriminations, sexual innuendo, the "accidental" touch and so on.

Generally women are considered more susceptible to this but here in CC roles are reversed. Do you think empowerment of women has really reached an extent where this can happen commonly or is it merely because the television always prefers the vamp?

What should Manav do next (considering Rupali intends to defame him if he does not succumb)?

What should Chhanchhan do?

Nice post!
This is an interesting issue that the show has brought up ... there was a movie on the same theme recently too. In India, sexual harassment is much more common by men though ... very few women are in positions senior enough, unfortunately ... in other Asian countries, and in the West, the percentage of women in more senior positions is greater. But even so, I think the proportion of harassment by men is far greater. A woman doing this is probably every man's fantasy 😛

Manav will tell Chhanchhan the entire story ... he is a sensible husband in that respect at least, thank God 😆 ... then they will try to deal with it together. This is not Aitraaz where CC is a lawyer, and anyway they don't have enough time to show such a long track ... so I guess they will trap her in her own net somehow.

Interesting topic raised by you and quite relevant.
Sexual harassment is about asserting power. Like you correctly pointed out sexual harassment can happen by cracking an inappropriate joke to the extreme means of physical assault. It's about making the workplace a hostile location for the victim which in turns impacts their phyical, mental wellbeing and ultimately work. As more men are in positions of power around the world the cases of women victims is greater but men too fall prey to it as in this case of Manav.

What Manav should do in the first place is not to give in to Rupali' s threat and tell Chhanchhan and his family the predicament he is in. If things go out of hand, he can take legal recourse too. I can't wait to see Chhanchhan fiercely protecting her husband from the traps Rupali is laying.

Sexual harassment in the workplace is another fact of life just like abuse in a home.

Typically women are more susceptible then men because majority are still subordinates or just not strong enough to fend off the aggressor, but will eventually inform others of the harm caused them.
Men on the other hand will hesitate to come out with an accusation simply because their "manhood" will be scorned at and they are less likely to be believed..."how can this happen to a man" attitude. I believe men are abused in the workplace and at home, only few will seek justice.
Aggressive high ranking women a lot of times are worse then men. I personally prefer men as bosses then a woman.

Manav should tell Chhanchhan everything. If it comes to an all out legal action then others in the family will need to know. There isn't much time so I doubt there will be too much of a drama, it will be nipped fast.
Chhanchhan will be the strength Manav needs, she will tactfully gather "evidence" and the "Vamp" will be brought to her knees. I think "Clark Kent" will be CC's superman. 😃

Remember Chhanchhan is the "Modern" Umaben. 😆

Its become a very common things now..in todays competitive world...To gain success to get promotions people tend to do this thngs..U cant actaully blame anyone. But thn..fall prey and find it difficult to come out of everything...
Here Manav didnt do anything but Rupali couldnt accept manav saying no her approach...

i m sure CC will stand by him and make sure he comes out scott free..

Dont knw if she would share with BS family..Thy would be shock if thy come to knw the real intentions of Rupali..

I would prefer to term it as "Corporate Couching" or in simple terms 'sexual favors' rather than sexual harassment at work in this particular situation in CC.

It exists and is pretty rampant in the corporate world. All kinds of compromises are made in order to obtain a contract or close a deal in one's favour.

I do hope they show Manav discussing the matter with his wife and CC handles it with conviction and intelligence.

Look forward to a power-packed performance from Sanaya... And hope the CVs indulgence us with it...or else it would be a waste of immense talent.

Chhanchhan has been dealing dealing with one or the other social issues apart from its main track.. Which is another reason why i liked it..

In Aitraaz it was a foreign setting if i remember right (saw it looong ago, not sure). But corporate India seems to have progressed quite a bit..

@bold- That's true, but quite a good number of men i feel would be too egoistical to take it that way..😉

Yes CC n Manav communicate like a couple ought to, so they should be able to tackle her together.. But smart as Rupali is she has caught the Borisagar's weak point, their family pride... Wonder what the family's reaction will be..

@bold- Exactly what i was thinking... The way men are raised here, they are more likely to confess being abusers (which makes them macho in some twisted sense) than to reveal being abused..

As for women bosses, isnt it generally the case that women tend to take things to extremes in both ends?

😆 It would be really funny to see Clark Kent becoming superman, somehow he seemed kind of bookish dimwit to me.. CC is more street smart..

@ red- CLASSIC!!!
