Let's start with the Khuranas'.
Savithri Devi Khurana''Maan's Dadi'..
Kiran Khanna'..her daughter'.Maan's buaji'.
Vijay Khanna'her husband'.
Dev Khanna''her son'.
Meera Khanna''Dev's wife'.
Arthi 'their daughter'..
And of course'Maan Singh Khurana'.angry young man'..lost his parents early and lives with his Dadi supported by his buaji and her husband'.
After Maan's father and Vijay's business partner Madan Khurana died, Vijay, Maan's uncle, thought that it's not fair for him to stay in this business anymore as he is the only partner taking care of it now and he would definitely become partial one day oe the other'.that would be unfair'he can't do this to Maan who is already in trouble losing his mother and father in quick succession '.
Though he won't cheat Maan he is not sure of his wife, she is a greedy woman, and she won't even spare her nephew'.
He gradually withdrew from KC and started his real estate business'.
Even now he deals with the lands involved with KC projects but his company takes care of only procuring the land and the rest is left to KC'.
Now that Maan is ready to handle KC he had handed over the business to him'.
He still guides Maan and he genuinely loves Maan'.
He is like a father figure for Maan'.
Kiran is very proud of her husband Vijay, and she values his money more than anything else'..
She always boasts his success in terms of the money he makes to others'
Maan just hates it when she talks ill about her husband when something doesn't work out as per his plans and he loses heavily'..
She will start calling him a fool, and that he would put her in the street one day'..
She had smartly transferred half the property on her name in the pretext of saving tax'..
She is always calculative'..she would make a shrewd business woman'..but never a good life partner'.
She is intelligent and many of her suggestions have benefited both KC and Uncle's(Maan's Uncle, buaji's husband) real estate business too'..
But she thinks that only she knows everything and never cares about what Uncle thinks'.
Uncle has divorced her at his heart long back and has re-married his business'.
Maan respects his uncle very much and he considers him as his godfather'..
Not that he hates his buaji, but he loves his uncle more'..
Maan has just taken charge of KC'.Khurana constructions after his MBA'
Next what? '.Maan's marriage'.isn't it'.
That's what Dadi and Kiran think'.
And they have already begun their hunt for their bahu'..
But Maan is dead against marriage'.
It's a life long compromise between two individuals and as far as Maan knows every husband and every wife just hang to their marriage only for the sake of the society or their children''

This created an unknown guilty feeling in young Maan's mind'..
So he is the reason for his mothre's plight'..
He is the hand cuff which she can't break'..
Maan's father is very short tempered and when he gets angry he loses his mind and becomes mad'.
Maan has even seen him beat his mother a couple of times'..
How he wanted to kill him?...he is one beast when he is drunk'.
But he was a very nice person otherwise'..
Sheetal left for her maika in order to make her husband give up drinking'.
But Madan got more angry and he went to see her in full booze'.
Poor Maan was happy to see his father and he thought that he could go back to his dadi'..
He loves his Dadi very much'.
She is the one who tries to shield him from these two morons'.
She won't say that her son is right and neither her bahu is right'
She also fights him equally and always thinks about herself, not Maan'.
Dadi had requested her to get a divorce and leave her son for the sake of Maan'
But she was stubborn and wanted to make her husband pay for his deeds'.
Her family misguided her and she took her husband to court, dowry harassment, which was a big lie'..
Now Madan wants to settle this down out of court'.
So saying he took her wife with him'..
They went to a nearby hotel and no one knew what happened but Madan left the room after an hour'.
Sheetal was found unconscious in the room'
She was taken to a hospital but hse never recovered'.
Madan had slapped her in rage when she argued with him and that was too much for a weak, starved Sheetal'.
Sheetal's family said that it was a murder and Madan was in jail for six months'.
Vijay somehow bailed him out but he can't save Madan from his own guilt'.
Madan commited suicide the next day itself'.
From then on Kiran nad vijay took care of maan'.
Maan was barely 12 when all this happened'.
So for Maan marriage is a punishment'..
He has decided never to marry and spoil a girl's life'.rather he won't let a girl spoil his life, snatch his freedom and joy forever just b'coz she has a magic wand in her hand or neck, the mangalsutar'.
He is also short tempered and knows that he can't control his anger'..
Moreover he would never compromise in his life'.it is his life, he would live it his way'..
Dadi would always say that Maan is like his mother, stubborn '
Not in front of him, but whenever Maan gets angry and shouts at the servants'..
Maan easily gets irritated when things are not done as per his wish'..
Dadi has spoilt him by granting all his wishes just to keep his anger in check'.
Moreover Dadi didn't want to upset him as he is a motherless child'.
She is very carefull that she never lets him miss his mother'.
Kiran has always disapproved this and warns Dadi that this is not good for Maan'
When Maan gets out of control and slams a plate or something'..
she would call Kiran and tell her that he is seeing his son back in Maan, along with the zidd of Sheetal'.
Dadi believes that only her bahu could change him'.so get him married'
Just the same mistake she did with her son'..
