Well, Sharad, I read today that Anurag Kashyap is making a 20 part TV serial with Amitabh Bachchan, and it is likely to be quite hatke, if not Gangs of Wasseypur III. So there is some hope still for Indian TV, and if you go there, the number of real characters is bound to go up.

But as I wrote above, as things are now, you would not last a week with the likes of Balaji.

I agree. Like a country gets the leaders it deserves, people get the soaps they deserve 😆

And yes, people with even an iota of sense and sensibility would find it tough to survive in Tellydom as it is today.

If you think I have even an iota of either, don't wish Tellydom for me 😃

You are right Kool. In fact Vanapasta was always preferred as an end of life event. That is why Vedic Rishis made 4 stages of life, and the philosophy was that a Man need to live all of its life and fulfill all its responsibility. In fact, Grihasta dharma was considered one on an essential responsibility that human being must fulfilled. That is why Karma is so important - vedic philosophy is achieving mokha through work - in fact that was most of all encouraged and preferred method of self realization - as in love, to serve etc.

Well dear, you said it was not a flaw...I took that to mean that you had understood my post to have been condemnatory of the quality...I only elaborated that I think it to be a flaw when self-interest takes precedence over all else...however, it is a flaw that makes us human...anyway, if I read you wrong, please accept my apologies...

You have a good day too!...

Yep.I read about that too. Let us hope that Kashyap is able to infuse some sense into the nonsene that otherwise prevails here 😊
