@bold. If that was what it was, Jyoti, I would think much better of this lallu of an Onir! All is fair in love n 'war, and I adore successful deviousness in affairs of the heart.

Plus, I am disappointed in all of you - and where is Archana? She should have been out at the head of the ArVi brigade, dancing a jig in, what else, the rain! I thought you would all have set out the arati thali to welcome Onir and bless him for making the vegetable reunion possible😉.

Instead, here you are, nitpicking about petty details like where he got the money from to pay Shalini and Kinshuk . Why, from the balance of the FD with the proceeds of which he bought back his mishti's diamond necklace! He was saving the rest for a rainy day, and where Arjun and Purvi are, can rainy days be far behind?😉Plus, Archana bought a full diamond set for Ovi from the proceeds of two gold bangles, so Onir's hidden resources are small potatoes by comparison!

Then you crib about discrepancies in the timing of the events in that utterly ridiculous account of his to his fellow conspirators,. What you failed to ask and should have: Why on earth does he need to tell them the whole story at all? They made if happen, after all!

Anyhow, open up the champagne and await further developments. But be forewarned, and expect the unexpected. I have a sneaking feeling he is not going to be rid of this Tar Baby yet. She was shown looking soulfully, reproachfully and tearfully at him in the sole SBS segment that I have ever watched, and he was also carrying on like a water sprinkler.

So who knows, the secret might come out suddenly. Perhaps Shalini will be haggling with Onir over her overdue payment, and Purvi, having gone to the kholi to collect the last of Pari's stuff, will overhear this heated discussion.

Or else Purvi might see her in a TV serial (not PR, of course) and cotton on to the fact that she is an actress and not Mrs.Onir Dutt.

Bam! Poor Arjun will be beached and left high and dry once more, for how could the sanskaari Purvi abandon such a mahaantam tyagi of a husband? In fact Archana herself will anoint him the tyaag ki murti, trumping even the previous holder of the title, his Mishti.

Then all our hopes of early liberation will be dashed. There will be another 18 year leap, and Ankita will land up in Mumbai in 6 inch heels as Ovi-Arjun's daughter. Purvi and Onir would have been living on virtue and fresh air in the selfsame kholi (Ekta is not going to pay the rent for that gorgeous Kolkatta mansion any more) and Pari would be in the selfsame Archana-Purvi mould, only worse. There will be another triangle, more tyaag by Pari, more tantrums by Ankita's character, and the wheel will come full circle once again!😉

And where will all of us be? Why complaining as bitterly as ever, but also watching, also as ever!!😉 Ever wondered why and how Ekta Kapoor is so successful?

@sashashyam

I agree. Like a country gets the leaders it deserves, people get the soaps they deserve 😆

And yes, people with even an iota of sense and sensibility would find it tough to survive in Tellydom as it is today.

If you think I have even an iota of either, don't wish Tellydom for me 😃

Shaymala, been a while since we talked on the forum... i stayed away for a while other than an occasional comment but it it sooo ridiculous and convoluted right now, and just cant resist the temptation to have some fun 😊...nitpicking tho banthaa hain..got to do it, isnt that what this forum is all about? It is done day in and day out for every glance, word, look or even the mere existence of ARVI, Archana and we have done it for Ovi too before..It all depends on which brigade you belong to, Armaan, Ovi, ARVI or even the smaller Onir brigade...So, why not the doctor babu? And, it is soo much fun too..😃
Oh, we will hold off on the thaali for now, for this is ekta land and PR after all ! We might have to get battery lamps from Garden Ridge and not rely on the diyas, for this is not going to happen soon, even if it does. The Doc still has some tricks up his sleeve, I believe 😊.. Yes, why does he go on and on yesterday with his cronies on how he masterfully planned this idiotic idea, was to enligthen us, just in case, we did not get it ! Such is their estimate of our, the viewers, intelligence ...
I am almost sure, that his unpaid actresses will let it out to Purvi that it was all his masterplan and she will go running back to FT, and there will be another of his pravachans about love, and she will cry buckets, and probably end up with him again..who knows...
seriously, if he really wanted to give her up, he should have just walked out of the marriage rather than do this charade... apparently the latest is that he will have a fake wedding with shalini....it is going from bad to worse...
God save us if there is another leap..my mind boggles at the idea of which combination will be the target now...

I clearly stated that it is not an admirable trait but certainly a very human flaw. And it is these flaws that differentiate us from Gods and saints!

That apart, excess of anything is a flaw. Because it blinds you to the havoc that you cause in other people's lives. If mahanta is a flaw, than surely being excessively selfish is too 😆

Agree with u when u say excess of anything is not good .

But

Putting yourself first is merely a human quality , not a flaw . God does not demand otherwise . And even saints do it ...self realization is nothing but putting the self first by shirking all other responsibilities and determining the responsibility to the self is greater . Mothers r supposed to possesively hang on to babies and husbands . Imagine what havoc will be there if children r given up like toys . A character in PR clasped the baby possesively to her chest and fired all when it was picked without her knowledge . A character in PR left her baby with perfect strangers , who were making her suspicious . I really don't want to discuss the characters here but your remark interested me . I would rather be born with that quality rather than minus it .

i always thought self realization implied realizing the self as in understanding the self...you gain perspective on who you are, where you are and the import of your actions...and if you are selfish to the point where you have destroyed lives, you understand that too...I don't think it implies placing the self over all others to the point where you are blinded by self interest...I could well be wrong but prefer to go with this definition for my life...And I don't think there was anything in my post that was condemnatory of self-interest. Like I said, if were completely unmotivated by self interest, we would all be Gods and angels!

Where did i say that u said self interest is condemnatory dear .

I merely commented that it is not a flaw but a quality . My POV . And to achieve self realization yogis discard responsibilities ...that ruthless selfishness is the first step to it . They walk off , not looking back . I have often wondered about this paradox .

Anyways , good day .
