I agree on the fact that people in the show, or the good ones at least try to become saints. Its unrealistic, but to be frank, what Onir did had to be done sooner or later. Its the correct thing to do considering that Purvi never loved him. Only I guess his way of how he intends to reunite the two love birds is not acceptable, I mean he didn't have to portray himself as the devil to accomplish this. He should have just talked to the family members and convinced them to bring the family together (Arjun, Purvi and Pari)...everyone knows they are meant to be, except they all act blind towards it.
As far as Onir doing all those horrible things to force Purvi to stay in the relationship is concerned, I think Onir can learn from an example. The example is called Ovi. Didn't she do everything it would take to keep Arjun glued to her? She still couldn't get the love that she yearned for. What did she accomplish from doing all those so called "humanly" things? Its pure logic, you can't force someone to stay with you, to love you, to stop loving someone etc etc. And, when all these things get overwhelming, you just have to let go which is what Onir did. He took a logical decision, which will obviously bring him sorrow for now, but will definitely spare him from the misery of seeing his wife, Purvi longing for another man.
