It depends on my mood. Just yesterday I was listening to the songs from Water...and i really find them soothing.

I loved the mujhe rang de rang de...song from thakshak... and yeah i would rather listen to songs i can relate to or feel comfortable with...they can be years old or brand new..its what befits my mood of the moment.

For all you nknow i will listen to the same song for one hour itself...cant say...

many greats of yesteryears also have borrowed, got inspied or copied as you may call it from "other sources". Someof those so called inspired/copied songs are our all time great hits also.

right on spot sir(wish I knew your real name),
For example my God of music Panchamda also has got inspired by mnay western themes. But after extensive investigation I had to bow down to his unparallel orchestration & bewildering capability of using unique instruments in a friendly way. He was very gifted.
The only composer who is comparable to him( may be at par: my personal bias is also working here....) is Illaya Raja, pity we didn't get to listen a lot of him in Hindi. He is simply genius.
Having said this I do agree that they are composers of different style & mode.

He does not have any creativity and he is not even taking pain to change it a little bit.

if u change it a bit, then it cld be a case of bad forgery. 😛 as long as we are still stuck up on morality issues, well then trying to hide things by faking some differentiation is usually more unethical in my opinion. karna hai toh khule-aam karo, no? 😉

😆 😆😆that is called "makhi te makhi marna" in punjabi. A guy was copying and saw dead makhi(bee) on the original sheet. He caught a makhi(bee) killed it and put it at the same place in his sheet.Preetam may be belonging to that school of copying. Just my pov 😊. But I agree he knows what is good stuff out there to copy.

Am also kind of clueless on how ARR's voice ACTUALLY sounds like. He has sung quite a few songs, but his voice appears totally lost in that collection of instruments! At times I hear a bit of high-pitched singing, but the next minute, huge waves of percussion and musical instruments submerge it 😆

Hello Sinha Ji 😊 good to see u here

@topic: Dont think ARR charisma is waning as such.Guru has two beautiful songs in 'Ayy Hairathe' and 'Jaage Hain'.
His last hindi release RDB had a magical 'Luka Chuppi'.Perhaps one of the best songs ever by ARR 😊
(Incidentally,This song has also made it to Oscars 'Best Original Song' initial nominations)
