Shooting Stars - Asad Zoya writing Gallery

Credit for Banner: Naaz (Blessing-beauty)

Hi guys!

Here's my Index/Gallery for all my previous and future works. I kind of got tired keeping track of all the threads, and people kept telling me 'you should write more' which is actually really nice considering they appreciate my work, but also a bit gutting considering I have actually written more and they haven't seen it. So I thought an index should sort this problem out 😊

Index:

SS:
After The Darkest Hour
Dilshaad has asked Asad to pick his bride. Tanveer or Zoya. What happens when he makes his choice, and find his heart and brain in a complete conflict?

OS:
Stay.. For Me
Zoya is leaving for New York the next day. The poet inside Asad emerges. But will the writing be understood by the one it's meant for?

Paradise
Racism prevails. Lives are lost. But is the world really such a bad place?

I Love You

Asad is a shy fellow. He can not say what he feels so he decides to write a note. But what happens when Tanveer sees it before Zoya and decides to play her own little game?

A Silent Storm
Asad blamed Zoya for Tanveer's conditions. When doesn't he? But this time he's gone one step too far.

My Husband - Pg 1
What can a woman do when her husband's best friend, also happens to love him and will take every chance she can get at coming closer to him?

Bargaining - Pg 12
One fine morning things are definitely looking up for Asad and his wife as they take small risks. But sometimes, you tend to get a lot more than you bargain for.

Ray of sunshine - Pg 19
A small bickering session between a husband and wife show his family just how much they appreciate the new relationship and family member they've got.
Zoya just met Haseena and co. when she went to the market. Her desperate pleas to Asad to save her seem to go unanswered. How will Zoya handle this?

Everything is complete. Else it wouldn't be on the list above 😉

I do not know what I wrote. 😕
My Husband

A screech sounded throughout the whole Khan mansion one night, just after dinner.

"Ahhh!" Tanveer screamed, running out of her room. "Help! Jammy, Help!" As soon as her vision located Asad standing in the living room, busy on his mobile, she rushed up to him, taking him by surprise with a sudden hug.

Zoya's eyes widened in amazement at the nerve of this girl, then narrowed as she felt fury bubble up inside her. How could this woman latch herself onto Mr Khan like that?! Didn't she know he was a married man! Yes, it had only been two days to their wedding, but he was married! MArried to her, Zoya Farooqi! She clenched her jaws, glaring at the duo in front of her.

Asad, who still had his phone in his hands stood stoic still, shocked at what had just occurred. His vision flew across to where Zoya was, next to the dining table, and could visibly see her eyes spitting fire at him and Tanveer. Tanveer! She was hugging him like it was the end of the world, sobbing into his waistcoat! No, this wasn't right. She shouldn't have done this. As soon as Zoya's gaze met his, he threw a helpless glance in her direction, which didn't seem to work because she huffed once, folded her arms in rage, and looked away.

Oh, where was his mother and sister when he needed them? Unfortunately, they'd gone to a pay their respects to a deceased relative. The action didn't suit newly wed couples and since Tanveer was just a guest, she'd decided to stay home. Oh, why hadn't he forced her to go? He now wondered. Bringing his hands around to her shoulders, he gently prized her apart from him, however, for a moment, it seemed like she wouldn't let go! Right, now he really was feeling uncomfortable. He mustered more strength this time, and made sure she let go of him completely, holding her about a metre away, before dropping his arms.

"Yes, Tanveer?" he questioned, taking care not to look at Zoya, who at that point was walking up to them, clad in her black trousers and pink top that she'd taken to wearing the past few days. This look not only suited her, but made her look really smart, something he was really happy to see in his wife. Wife. Zoya Asad Ahmed Khan. The thought itself pulled at the corners of his lips.It was amazing how she managed to light his day with just one smile. And for the past couple of days, he'd woken up to her calm, soothing smile that rested on her face while she slept peacefully. After the first morning, he knew he didn't mind waking up next to her for the rest of his life. Not that he had much choice now in all honesty.

"Jammy," Tanveer said, gripping his shoulder and bringing him back. "I saw a mouse in my bed. Just as I was about to go to sleep! It was crawling around-" however, she was rudely interrupted by Zoya, whose mouth dropped open.

"Allah Miyan, what's wrong with you Tanveer?A mouse? You got scared of a mouse? " She got in between both of them, giving a dirty look at the hand that was resting on her husband's arm. Ashamed, Asad took a small step to the side, breaking free from Tanveer's hold.

"Well.. It's actually.. I.." she was saved from stuttering out an excuse, when Zoya replied in a sardonic voice, unable to control her anger.

"Oh, I get it. You've got a phobia to mice as well, right?"

Tanveer's face flushed red in humiliation, while Asad kept quiet, keeping his eyes on the floor. He could feel a smile forming on his face, but was trying his best to wipe it out completely. The situation was not funny, no, but Zoya was. His Zoya, fuming with jealousy. He loved the sight of it.

The slight smirk on his face did not go unnoticed by Zoya, who rolled her eyes. Was he really having fun at the expense of her feelings? Oh, she would sort him out. In a minute. Right now, she had to deal with this woman, who was sticking to her husband like a leech!

"Uhmm.. Miss Fa-"

"It's Mrs Asad Ahmed Khan for you Mister!" She retorted, interrupting him with a deadly voice and look, letting him know he was probably going to receive hell later. He cleared his throat, then shut up. Now didn't seem like the time to get on her bad side.

Zoya, however, had the pleasure of seeing Tanveer flinch when she said the name. Oh, the power of being Asad's wife was wonderful! True, she was probably abusing it, but who cared. It was only Tanveer. The same Tanveer who was trying to snatch Asad away from her! Yeah, abuse her power she would.Heck, abuse her if she got the chance to, she'd take it openly!

"I'll go check."Asad announced.

"I'll come-"

"Actually, can I talk to you Tanveer? Why don't we let my husband do the job himself?" The sweet tone her voice was laced with did not fool anyone in the living room. Without giving it another thought, Asad walked to Tanveer's room, half afraid he'd something he hadn't done in long time, the unthinkable; Laugh out loud at his possessive wife!

"Ok, let's get one thing clear." Zoya said, her voice sharp, forcing Tanveer to close her mouth as soon as Asad left. "I don't know what you're playing at, but I do know one thing well enough. You're trying to get Asad away from me, and you know what, I'm not having it."

"I..I don't know.."

"Oh cut the crap woman! We both know you know what I'm talking about. See this.." She held up her left hand to show Tanveer the ring on her finger. "He voluntarily put it on me. Twice. And you know what? He's got a ring on his finger too. Which I put on. So you know what that means right?" She spelt out every thing as though talking to a baby, however rage was inflamed in her voice and brown eyes.

"You're getting me wrong. I don't have any intention of something like that." The innocent reply made Zoya's head spin.

"Oh really? That's why you look for an opportunity to touch my husband?"

"He's just my best-"

"Don't!" Zoya stopped her. "Don't give something so sick the name of friendship! Two days back, we had a nikaah, Tanveer. And he's married to me. Before, I couldn't say much but now, I put my foot down."

"Please believe me."

"No." Her frank answer came back. "Not going to make that mistake again. Just listen closely. I'm his wife. You're his friend. Friend or not, I'm not having a 'chipku' get anywhere near him!"

"There's nothing. I'm serious." Tanveer tried defending herself.

"No, I'm serious!" Zoya said with finality, as she noticed Asad coming out of the room with a confused look on his face, behind Tanveer. "Next time, I don't care whether there's a fly or even a tiger in your room! You touch my husband once more like that and I'll make sure.." She trailed off as she saw a smile form on Mr Khan's face and looked back determinedly at her rival, new found encouragement erupting inside her like a volcano. "I'll make sure you can never say the two words 'best' and 'friend' in the same sentence, let alone together."

Sparks flew from Tanveer's eyes at the threat. No tears, surprising! Zoya thought to herself. Maybe she'd cried enough over the past few days trying to prove herself innocent continuously.

"Tannu.." And immediately, a sorrow filled look took over on Tanveer's face as she heard Asad address her. Zoya felt her jaws drop in utmost horror! Wow! This woman could change expressions like a chameleon to suit her surroundings! "I didn't find any rat." He continued.

"Yeah," Zoya replied icily. "Poor thing must have been scared to death and run away."

Silence.

"I meant, by the scream." She corrected herself, forcing a fake smile to her arch enemy at this point.

"Jammy, I'm really sorry for causing all this trouble." The soft, holier-than-thou-but-shan't say it look was directed at Asad.

Rolling her eyes, Zoya mumbled under her breath,

"Oh here we go again."

"I think.." Asad found himself saying, "It'll be best if you go to bed now." Both ladies froze at his words. What? He wasn't defending Tanveer? He wasn't shouting at Zoya for being rude to his 'best friend'? He was somewhat taking Zoya's side? She pinched herself.

OUCH!

No definitely not a dream. Which meant..? Oh! This was brilliant!

Tanveer recovered soon enough and with a silent 'Goodnight' and nod, went back to her room, sparing Zoya's triumphant and determined look only one glance.

"Shall we?" Asad questioned Zoya, who now had a dazed expression on her face.

"Huh?" She snapped back to reality when she heard slight amusement in his voice.

"Go to.." he faltered for a second, before locking his piercing gaze with hers and completing his sentence with a husky tone. "Our room?"

Zoya blinked. The world had stopped. The sun had risen from the west. Pigs were flying. Dogs were driving. Cats were.. what were cats doing? Oh, whatever they didn't usually do! Had Jahapana just called his room their room? Had he finally really acknowledged her as his wife?

"Zoya?" he questioned, slightly concerned when she didn't respond.

"I.. you.. our.. room?" she could barely manage coherent words out of her mouth, let alone a full sentence! Asad felt heat rise up to his neck, as he shut his eyes in pure frustration and embarrassment. Trust her to wash away all his efforts of voicing his feelings! Not knowing what else to do, and definitely not wanting to be around when Zoya caught on, he turned and fled from the scene before he could see the beautiful smile light up on her face and shine through her eyes.

If she could fly, she would. If she could soar in the air, sky high, she really would. This was the first time he'd sort of taken her side over Tanveer's! He hadn't told her anything! And he couldn't have any way. They were married! How could she allow another girl to hug him like that?! And how could he expect her to not be affected? She had official claim over him and to be honest, she loved it!

Her phone vibrated inside her pocket at that moment and she checked it.

Percy is safely back in his cage enjoying his treat. Didn't manage to find any papers. Bhaijaan came a bit too early. Mission incomplete. Over and out. - Rabert

Her grin widened, as she did a small victory dance. Despite Ayaan not finding the bank statements, Zoya had gotten a lot more than she bargained for when she had set up this deliberate plan. She got a chance to give Tanveer whats-her-name a piece of her mind. She got a chance to scare the living daylights out of her, oh her scream had been so worth hearing! And the best gift of all, she got one step closer to Asad. One teeny tiny step, that meant the world to her! Never had she dreamed that this is what a simple plan would lead to. But it did. And truth be told, she probably enjoyed every single moment of it as soon as Asad had created distance himself and Tanveer.

"And why wouldn't he?" she questioned softly feeling her heart fill up with unidentified warmth. "He is my husband."
