Tanveer still has gal to utter 'Jammy' after the warning by Zoya in the last OS - okay, it is not a continuation but very much seemed like it.

Write another! Will wait for it.😊

Thank you!! And yeah I do.. I think that guy has sexy coats!! LOL!! The other story was my SS After the Darkest Hour..😆

And yeah. not a continuation.. but if you want you can think of them all as a series of OSs/Drabbles about AsYa's married life After my SS 😉

Thanks once again!!😊

Ray of Sunshine

"No." The straight answer came from Asad causing Dilshaad and Najma's mouth to drop low in shock.

"What do you mean 'no', Asad?" Dilshaad asked taking control. "Zoya and you have to do it one day, so why not now?"

Asad felt himself colouring up uncomfortably.

"But Ammi, I can't." He whispered.

Zoya's eyes widened in disbelief as she dropped her shopping bags with a thud. She had just entered the sitting room but it was pretty obvious to her what they had been talking about.

"What do you mean you can't, Mr Khan?" She demanded, interrupting the conversation. "Don't you think I should have known before we got married?"

"And..?" He questioned, directing his gaze to hers.

"And then.." she hesitated frowning. "I don't know. At least I would know."

"What difference would it make?"

"Allah Miyan what's wrong with you Mr Khan?" She exclaimed in disbelief, throwing her hands in the air and walking towards where he was seated on the sofa. "It's not only about your future anymore. It's mine as well when we got married remember?"

"Miss Fa.." he stopped himself in time before she could correct him in front of everyone and embarrass him further. "Zoya, why are you making such a big deal out of this?"

"I shouldn't?" she retorted back. "I shouldn't make a big deal when this concerns my life?"

Dilshaad raised her eyebrows in amusement at Asad, while Najma resorted to giggling behind her hand as she immediately made the connection. Zoya would have noticed if she didn't only have eyes for her handsome husband, clad in black trousers and a brown shirt. He was closing his eyes in utter frustration as he couldn't make a head or tail of the situation at hand.

"It only concerns a few days of your life. How can you create such a fuss?"

"A few days?" She questioned astonished. "So that's what you think of this whole matter? A few days?"

"Yes." He replied slightly uncertainly.

"Allah Miyan whom did I marry?" Zoya groaned into her hands, making Asad stand up indignantly. "I knew he was emotionally challenged from before. But seriously, a few days?" She mumbled to herself.

"Yes Zoya. A few days. What's the big deal?" He demanded to know the answer.

"The big deal is, you should have told me before we got married." She answered back determinedly.

"So you wouldn't have gotten married to me because of small matter like this?" He challenged her, turning to face her completely.

"Allah Miyan how can you call being impotent a small matter?" her voice pitched higher in alarm.

"Because Miss Farooqi it is-" he stopped half way in his sentence, analysing what she'd just said. He almost couldn't believe his ears! "Impotent?" His tone changed to utter disbelief as Najma and Dilshaad turned away, trying their best to control their laughter. Asad gave them a single glare then looked at Zoya, who had folded her arms and was staring at him.

"Yes Mr Khan, impotent. Don't you think I should know as a wife?!"

Asad clenched his teeth, feeling heat build up around his face. What on earth had he gotten himself into? He wondered, trying his level best to control the amount of frustration that mounted inside him.

"I.. am.. not.. impotent.. Miss Farooqi."

"Oh yeah sure." Zoya replied sarcastically and flippantly added without thinking, "Prove it."

Immediate bursts of laughter from Najma and her 'Phuppi' brought her back down to earth as her eyes widened and shock registered. They were here! Well, they had been before, but during her argument with him she had not taken notice at all! Urgh, who told them to sit on the sofa and be so quiet that her brain could barely heed any warning of their presence? She glanced up at Asad, who at that moment had his arms folded and was literally skinning her alive with his gaze! Oh shit, she was dead meat for sure today.

Stunned, she immediately bowed her head down, mumbling,

"Maybe now's not the best time," and earning more peals of laughter from Najma. Dilshaad had given up trying to hide, and was laughing along with her daughter, while Asad and Zoya were the only ones who stood, almost humiliated by their (well specifically Zoya's) speech and thoughts.

"You couldn't have waited to know the full story could you Ms Farooqi?" He told her quietly.

"How was I to know?" Zoya looked back up, ready to defend herself. "Phuppi said we have to do it someday, and you said you can't. What would anyone sane think?"

"Anyone sane would wait for the conversation to go further, not jump to conclusions." Asad sighed.

"Well, in my defence, I was just shocked." Zoya muttered, looking back at the gleaming tiles underneath her.

The act hit home within Asad as he immediately felt his anger melt away. Well, it was Zoya, and she was very quick at jumping to conclusions. If she was changing then it would take time for her. But did he really want her to change, he wondered to himself, still observing her and finding a small smile make its way onto his face.

"Zoya," Dilshaad thought to take damage control as she realized Zoya had won this and probably every other round against Asad. She wondered when Zoya had developed this skill of turning from a fierce tigress to a cute, innocent, kitten in a matter of seconds! "We were talking about your honeymoon."

Zoya's head shot up, her eyes shining. Honeymoon? Her and Mr Akdu Khan, all alone? Someplace else? She looked towards Asad, a smile automatically making way on her face.

"Honeymoon? Where?"

"Paris." Dilshaad replied, with a glint in her eyes, knowing how much Zoya loved that place.

"Wow! Phuppi!" Zoya's smile widened slightly more for a second, but faded as she remembered Asad's words. The sparkle in her eyes disappeared. "But, Mr Khan said.." she trailed off, trying to give another small smile to Dilshaad. "He's probably got work, Phuppi. I can't ask him to take time off. It's a big responsibility."

"We can go."

Silence ensued the room as three pairs of eyes turned towards the source of the voice. What? A few minutes back he had been adamant on not going, and all of a sudden, he'd changed his mind? Was this really Asad, Dilshaad wondered. She then saw his gaze fixed on his loving wife and understood everything. Slowly but surely, Zoya was thawing Asad's heart, allowing it to beat again and live like it had when he was a kid. She was bringing back innocence, feelings and love back into his life. She was making him want to make others happy. Shutting her eyes, she inwardly thanked her Khuda for bringing light into their lives once again.

Asad could not stand to see the disappointment on her face. True, he'd never been open about any of these things, especially honeymoons, but how could it hurt, when it was the cause of a big smile on his wife's face. Time away with her did not seem like such a bad idea all of a sudden. She would fill it with her chatter and he would intensify it with his silence. And then, it gave him the chance to spend time away from work, with no prying eyes and with no one who'd make fun of them. Just the two of them.

"Really Mr Khan?" Zoya asked, hopeful again.

He nodded once and before he could say or thing of anything else, she took one step forward and threw her arms around him forcing him to stumble back a few steps. One of her hand immediately went to his hair while the other pulled him closer to her.

Stunned, Asad first held her by the waist, having a furious argument within himself as to whether he should hug her back or not.

Ammi and Najma are here!

She's your wife!

No public display of affection!

For the love of God, it's a HUG! You're not sleeping with her or something in front of everyone!

Cringing at the last thought, he slowly allowed his arms to tighten around her and pull her into his body.

"Thank you Mr Khan." She whispered into his ear, not letting go. Smiling, he shut his eyes and held her longer, inside his embrace fulfilling his heart's desire. She felt so perfect for him. Right now, as she was in his arms, he was sure he never wanted to let her go. He was sure he would do anything to keep that smile on her face.

As they slowly split apart, none of them really wanting to, Asad impulsively leaned forward, and let their foreheads connect as they both savoured the other's presence. It wasn't like they never had time to themselves, they just couldn't get enough of such moments! He brought his fingers up and traced the dimple embedded in her cheek as she lowered lashes, enjoying the blood rushing up to the surface of her skin. She was sure her heart skipped multiple beats when she felt his hot breath cascade around her lips. Wow, he wasn't even about to kiss her and already, her senses felt like they were on fire!

"Ahem ahem.." Najma cleared her throat, forcing the couple to split apart and flush red in embarrassment as they looked anywhere else, but at each other. Najma continued cheekily, a twinkle in her eye. "Bhaijaan, you'll have to do a lot more than that if you want to prove you're not impotent."

"Tamatar!" Two voices exclaimed in unison, as Najma laughed, then shrieked when she found out her 'Bhaijaan' was coming to get her.

"Your mouth is really fast these days isn't it?" He questioned amused, following with quick steps as she squealed and ran up to her room. Asad ran upstairs after her, while Zoya and Dilshaad watched the siblings quarrel playfully till they had gone out of sight. Najma's laughter echoed through the walls of the house, while her brother was putting her under somewhat 'torture' for her smart mouth.

Dilshaad glanced at Zoya who was chuckling softly at the duo.

"Thank you Zoya." Zoya frowned in confusion as the older woman addressed her. "Thank you, for being the ray of sunshine this house has needed for a long, long time.

She then pulled Zoya close to her, kissed her on her forehead and walked away, leaving Zoya smiling softly to herself. She had been so grateful to the one up there for giving her a family like this one. A mother, a sister, and a husband that did anything for her! Little had she noticed, that while gaining a family she'd always wished for to call her own, she was also giving life to the four walled structure that had once been a house, but was now a complete home.

I'm on a roll this week aren't I?? 2 One Shots in the past week? 😆 Well.. I really really really like chocolates (Galaxy and Ferrero are my absolute favourites) but since you can't give me those.. I'll settle for likes and huge comments.. 😉
Please do leave your thoughts behind. Criticisms are appreciated too 😊

Love,
Sanaa

PS - Does anyone watch Revenge (The series) I'm hooked onto it! If you don't watch it, it's a definite recommendation!
