The Returning Champions from 2012! Having gone through the ups and downs of IPL, the team was able to win the title during the last IPL. Led by Gautam Gambhir, it is one's curiosity if the team can recreate the magic again this year!
Chennai Super Kings
Touted to be the most successful team on IPL, the Chennai Super Kings had won the IPL title for two consecutively, back in 2010 and 2011. In 2012, they reached the finals once again but lost to the Kolkata Knight Riders. Led by M.S. Dhoni, will the team retain their position?
The Mumbai Indians has proved to be the most consistent and active of the teams since the last three tournaments. Ponting, Lasith Malinga, Pollard, Mitchell Johnson and Tendulkar - can come together to give fans a lot to cheer about.On the other side, they have to yet be the winners in Indian Premiere League.
Bangalore Royal Challengers
The RCB may have a point to prove after just missing out on the semi-finals last year. They've recruited well ' or more specifically, they've recruited Australian all-rounders well. Bangalore will rely heavily on big-hitting opener Chris Gayle and their new captain Virat Kohli.
Delhi Daredevils
The Capital city's squad, Delhi Daredevils boast one of the most explosive batting line-ups in the league and finished off as first in last years pool table.
With Mahela Jayawardene as their newly captain, and top batting line up Sehwaq, Warner, Pietersen will they be able to re-create last years success?
The Royals have never challenged for the trophy since Shane Warne led them to the inaugural IPL title in 2008. They have a squad that could pose a lot of problems for opposition teams, particularly their fast bowling stocks which feature frightening pacemen Fidel Edwards and Shaun Tait so they won't be lacking for motivation this season.
