Quite a good interview. It's amazing how sensible Kajol sounds here, because I watch her video interviews and she comes across as this madcap person who says whatever and whenever without much regard for diplomacy. She hit the bullseye regarding the newcomers, and even I cannot differentiate one newcomer from the next, same fair skin, anorexic body and a flowerpot role next to the leading hero, how do they expect anyone to take notice? Really liked the particular line about the sudden rise and immediate fall of newbies being frightening - I mean, can you imagine being touted as the next big thing in Bollywood and suddenly in a few months there's a new face tagged with the same title, and it seems to happen more with the actresses because there is just so many of them being launched in every second movie. I do feel sorry for the new entrants in Bollywood because you can pretty much be pulled down as soon as you start climbing the ladder and unless you form a niche of your own that forces people to get up and take notice (eg. Vidya Balan), it is unlikely that you will survive the rat race.
