Rapper Aditya Prateek Singh Sisodia, widely known as Badshah, has addressed the controversy around his song Tateeree after criticism over its lyrics and visuals. The artist shared a video message on Instagram, saying the track is being removed from platforms following the backlash. The statement comes days after the song triggered debate online, particularly among listeners from Haryana who felt the content was disrespectful.
Uploading a video on his social media account, the rapper said, “My new song Tateeree has been released, and I see that the message conveyed through its lyrics and visuals has hurt the sentiments of many people, especially my own Haryanvi community.” He added that he belongs to Haryana himself and never meant to insult anyone. “I am from Haryana myself. I am a very proud Haryanvi.”
He also explained that he comes from the hip hop music space where artists often challenge or criticise rivals through songs. According to him, the idea behind Tateeree followed that tradition and was not aimed at women or children. However, he admitted that some words used in the track may have sounded inappropriate to listeners. He said the intention was competition not humiliation and the reaction made him rethink the impact of the lyrics.

The video quickly spread across social media, with many fans posting supportive comments such as “We are with you bro.” Others argued that the controversy had been exaggerated while some users still questioned the lyrics. Tateeree, released on March 1, 2026, has already crossed 4.4 million views on YouTube, showing how widely it circulated online. Under Indian law, Section 296 of the IPC addresses acts that may outrage decency. The Indecent Representation of Women Act also restricts content considered offensive.
