I am usually the girl who is with the so called bashers all the way. But this time I disagree. If someone's recklessness had got my mother shot where she was fighting for her life. She could possibly die...I would slap that person as hard as I could too. Its not about man and woman as many people seem to think. It isnt that Zoya is a woman, and that is why he is hitting her. It isnt like he is trying to show he is stronger than her. No, he is mad as hell that Zoya caused his mother to be shot (according to him, that is).
I have always been against Asad for the way he judges girls especially Zoya. I thought there were many times when his behavior towards Zoya was outright disgusting, but this time I cannot blame him. The wound was fresh, his mothers blood was still on his pristine shirt. If Najma's recklessness had caused his mother to be shot, he would have hit her too. If Ayan had caused it...he would have hit him too.
You reap what you sow. And yes we know Zoya wasnt to blame, but he doesnt. According to him it was all Zoya's fault. Even after he repeatedly told Zoya to send Mariyam away, she didnt (according to him).
When someone you love the most is fighting for their life...you tend to lose your head. You dont think about the differences in sex or differences in size, or right or wrong. You react. You lash out at the person who caused this misery to you.

If he had hit her for something else, like for leaving pizza on the floor or something then I would have absolutely disagreed, but this was really big. It was life and death.

That being said, is it right to hit a woman...or hit someone weaker than you. I dont think so. Infact my roommate and I have had this conversation many times. She has a boyfriend and she knows that if she hits her boyfriend really hard where it hurts the most 😉 then he will hit back...as a reflex. He will hit her in the shins most probably or dead leg her. And she thinks he would be perfectly justified because you cannot hit someone and not expect them to hit back just because you are a woman and he is a man. That is a double standard she says. You started it...you hit him enough to bring him to his knees, so if he hits you then you deserve it. And I always argued with her at this point because I think it is not right to hit a woman in any circumstance because she is technically weaker than a man (especially me, I am very weak..no upper body strength). But now that I actually witnessed it in a show...I see her point. And yes this scenario isnt the same as what happened with Asad, it is much worse. His mother got shot...could have died. That's huge. All he did was slap her, someone else might have killed her.

Oh and Zoya herself feels responsible, I think, which is why she didn't say anything to Asad for the slap. Yes she was afraid of him, but I really think she felt really guilty.

@NishaSo here you are saying that if one person hits another than it's perfectly natural to accept the same reaction back, but here Asad was the one who slapped Zoya but she did not retaliate and hit him back...so going by on this theory of your's,shouldn't Zoya have slapped him back too? If this is the way to go then everyone in the world would be going around hitting and slapping one another out of anger,no matter who they are.If mother/father slapped their child...natural response...child slaps them back...girlfriend slaps boyfriend,,,natural response...boyfriend slaps her back...etc,etc...but this all ok as these people were asking for it?

Slapping a woman in any way is not hot or sexy to me from any angle.

I think you are the only one who is even associating 'hot and sexy' with the act of slapping.😲
Unbelievable! HOw can you even mention hot and sexy with slap? What is this???

Seriously, do take a look at what you have written.
And please read this.
Do you seriously think Gul intended it to look sexy???
What was the message the scene conveyed to you?

He reacted in anger. His mother was dying. There was nothing hot and sexy 😲about it. Slapping any one is wrong. Asad is wrong in doing that. well, we'll decide if he has to go tro jail for this after we see how he apologises.😆 He is supposed to apologise...(and may be lick her feet and what not...😆let us see .

Have you never seen anyone fly off their handle...forget physical violence...even shouting at a person is NOT ACCEPTABLE. Every one is aware of that. That does not mean everyone who shouts and vents out their anger deserve to be put in jail. Nor does it look sexy when they do either of these.

But every one deserves the chance to apologise. God forgives. Even some humans forgive.😉

What the heck are you saying?? 😕
That wasnt even my point. I wasnt trying to say that if one person hits, then its natural to hit back (that is what my roommate said). I was saying that he slapped out of anger.
And yes if someone you isnt your father, brother, family slaps you unjustly, without it being your fault, then you do have the right to defend yourself. A lot of people live by that rule right now...yet I dont see everyone slapping each other every second.
Are you saying that anyoe can just come and slap me and I have no right to defend myself or to retaliate? are you saying we all should just roll over.

OMG! Same here, she really twirled around by the impact of the slap. Somethinglike that should lead her leaving that house, I don't get why she still is there.
