Going by what the main fanpage on FB said, apparently either Sita or Lakshmana are supposed to be "fake". One of them is the demon in disguise, but what beats me in this story is why Ram is so unaware about everything while Lakshman is all heroic and omnipotent.

I am not so much against showing such stories if they're based off of some source, but then the serial shouldn't be called 'Ramcharitmanas Adhaarit' because that misleads the audience into thinking these stories are in there.

Although it's not there in Valmiki that Ravana attended Sita's swayamvara - I think that Krittivas (the Bong Ramayan) may have been the first to put Ravana @ Mithila. Otherwise, why would Shurpanakha have had to describe to him what Sita was like, if he already knew?

Also, in Valmiki, Shurpanakha's hubby is Vidyutjeeva (lightning tongue), who was killed by Ravan himself. But Shurpanakha never re-married, and instead lived w/ Khar & Dooshan.

i know supernakaha husband was vidyuteeva but in himachal pradesh there is banasur tribe athe story is taken from there take a reference

oops my mistake about valmiki ramayana i have read somewhere about banasura i think its krittivassi ramayana some text mentions vamiki has mentioned about banasur i have to found out http://www.engr.mun.ca/~asharan/bihar/ironage/IRONAGEINDIA2.htm

and i think lakshmana aimed at banasur coz in madhya pardesh there is reference that lakshmana threatened banasur maybe he had shot an arrow i had to find it😳

Arti, I have a question. Is this story which is based from Himachal Pradesh exactly as the Sagars have shown it, or did the Sagars take some creative liberty with the story as well? Because if it's exactly as it was written in the source, then who is real and who is fake? Was it the real Sita with Ram, and if so why were Ram and Sita meeting before marriage???

I am sooo confused, and the fact that they even did not finish it yet made me so angry this morning, lol!

its not mentioned that banasur took sita or lakshmana form ...it is said that he advanced towards sitaji he wanted to steal her... but wen he saw grand form of ram and lakshmana he was scared to deadth he disappeared quietly... thats it... may be they have added their own spices or maybe there is another story which i m not aware of 😳

I was confused because FB said Lakshman was possessed and Sita was not Sita.😆 Thanks for clearing it up. Now I'm curious where this particular story came from.

Means was Laksman really possessed? And what happened to Sita? 😕
