I saw an interview of Faluni Pathak in which the anchor posed an interesting question, "Karan Johar has adapted a famous track from a pop album. Your fans would definitely like to see some of your tracks re-released commercially."
That got me thinking: Why did Karan not adapt a song of someone like Falguni Pathak, Alisha Chinoy, Shweta Shetty or Sunita Rao? Why a Pakistani pop singer who is dead?
Indian pop stars have also given big hits. Why then did Karan choose to remix Nazia Hassan's track?
Pakistani singers are chosen over local talent in India. And now dead ones too?
If anyone does not know, Nazia Hassan refused to sing Made in India. It would have been better if Karan Johar had asked Alisha to re-sing Made in India. It would have been a bigger hit.
