I'm very happy to see Savita finally getting her comeuppance, and to be brutally frank, I hope she suffers deeply for what she did to Archana and for separating the family for several weeks of episodes (although knowing Archana and her tendency for mahangiri, this may be for only a few days) but otherwise, I am INCREDIBLY disappointed with the way the Arvi romance turned out.
I'm not even sure why the CV's even bothered with this 'twist' to gain TRPs, it is a typical Ekta-serial formula that's been numerously tried and tested (and failed) and we've been seen it coming from miles away. Incredibly stupid, stupid move, CVs. Very disappointing.
If I still ship Arvi, it's because I care about Arjun being happy. He's the ONLY person who actually understood the meaning of love, and changed for the better because of it. Even today, while he's furious at Purvi, just the memory of her plea to accept Ovi as his wife made him apologize to Ovi for snapping at her. That's what I call true love (what I wouldn't do to get such a guy!)
Now Purvi. In her quest for attaining the mahan status her mother has been striving for in the name of goodness, she committed an unforgivable action. Arjun was right; she 'gave' him to Ovi as if he was her chattel and she could do whatever she liked with him, regardless of his feelings. On top of that, when Arjun reminds her she broke her promise to be with him forever, she actually DARED to dismiss that and actually try to get him to promise to accept Ovi as his wife. Are you SERIOUS? And who the bloody hell are you now to extract such a promise from him? Not his fiancee, not his wife, you made sure of that. SO HOW DARE YOU try to tell him what to do in his marital life? You obviously didn't give a crap to what he has gone through for you, including leaving his own home, and risking his life to save yours. And for what? To get Ovi to convince everyone to accept your mother? Even though even Ovi wouldn't do so from the heart if she never found out the truth? No, Purvi deserves to suffer. She is not worthy of Arjun's love, not at all. She should have just stuck to Vinay. They deserve each other at this point.
I'm not even going to talk about Ovi. I am disgusted at her; the girl gave new meaning to the word 'selfish'. She is Savita's granddaughter after all. She could see that Arjun loved Purvi to madness, yet she married him without caring about his feelings at all. I don't care if they're already married - I hope Arjun never accepts her. If only she could borrow a bit of Archana's mahanta and lets Arjun go, then maybe something good will come out of this crap. Now that they accepted Archana, maybe there's a little hope that this will happen. Then again, maybe not.
Screw pavitra rishtas - these people obviously don't know the meaning of it. Except poor Arjun.
I do apologize if I hurt any sentiments; this has been building up in me and I just had to let it out. And kudos to the actors, they are doing a fantastic job if they can bring out such intense emotions from viewers.
