When he played the suave and bespectacled Siddharth in 'Kkusum', actor Sandeep Rajora came across a trophy husband every woman would love to flaunt. Sandeep is playing Siddharth yet again in 'Sati — Satya Ki Shakti' (Sahara One) but this time as a flamboyant and flirtatious lawyer.
Sandeep says of his role in 'Sati…', "Siddharth has caught the eye because he's cool and easygoing. He serves as a breather to the serious mood of the show."
The Delhi-based Sandeep who also has an MBA degree has now made Mumbai his home. "The city allows you to realise your dreams. Here you think about something and you can do it. But we still live like rats, the infrastructure is awful. We have beautiful cars but they go through bad roads," he says.
Ask him whether it was difficult to build inroads in glam biz and Sandeep replies, "To be an actor you have to be sensitive. But you also have to market yourself. From marketing cars I am now marketing myself."
The quintessential 'husband material' nevertheless enjoys the female attention that his shows , including 'Kareena Kareena', have brought him. "I have this fan in Jamshedpur who has made a website on me. It lists interesting trivia about me," gushes Sandeep who considers being friends first as most important in a relationship.
Sandeep, who was once a state-level squash player, finds yoga a great stress-buster. He concludes on a philosophic note, "I live each day to the fullest. I have no mega dreams. I believe in giving my best shot. I have realised that happiness is not connected to success."
